It stands out as Audi’s flagship SUV by blending a coupe-like shape with an upscale feel and strong road manners, and it is aimed more at performance and refinement than maximum family utility. The 2023 Q8’s overview points to rich interior materials, satisfying powertrains, and excellent build quality, all of which are encouraging signs for used buyers. Its standard quattro all-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic transmission also suggest a well-sorted setup for everyday use. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is less about basic competence and more about the cost of maintaining a premium SUV with a touchscreen-heavy cabin and upscale hardware.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Audi Q8?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the listing’s condition matches the seller’s description, especially on a premium SUV where repairs can be expensive. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the interior electronics, touchscreen operation, and any signs of wear in the cabin, since the Q8 leans heavily on tech and luxury materials. It also makes sense to focus on tire and wheel condition, because this model’s upscale setup can make replacement costs meaningful.

If you find a listing below $44,079, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Audi Q8's resale value?

The current average of $44,079 sits slightly below last year's $52,855.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale performance will depend heavily on how well your vehicle is presented, maintained, and priced against similar listings. A premium SUV with broad appeal can still hold buyer interest, but you should expect the market to reward clean condition and strong equipment more than age alone.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Audi Q8 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 44.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the one to target first. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2023’s favorable market position and strong deal availability.
