Used 2023 Acura RDX for Sale nearNewark, NJ

How much does the 2023 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 6.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,060 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used RDX options to compare.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX a good car?

The 2023 Acura RDX is a strong fit if you want a premium compact SUV that balances comfort, performance, and value, though its tech interface asks for patience. It earns a 3/5 user rating and a 6.2/10 expert rating, and the model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

The RDX stands out as a relative bargain in the luxury SUV class without feeling stripped down, and it is described as fun to drive with high levels of comfort. The main trade-off is the unintuitive infotainment system, which can be frustrating at first even if you eventually adapt to it.

For shoppers who want a premium feel without paying top-tier luxury-SUV money, the RDX makes the most sense as an everyday luxury crossover. 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX reliable?

The 2023 Acura RDX is presented as a well-rounded luxury SUV that should be easy to live with, especially if you value comfort and straightforward performance. Its turbocharged four-cylinder powertrain is described as more than adequate for most drivers, with immediate throttle response, a well-chosen transmission, and confident handling that doesn’t sacrifice ride comfort.

Acura also includes two years of free scheduled maintenance and three years of included data for the Wi-Fi hotspot and remote monitoring, which helps lower early ownership friction. The powertrain is the only engine choice, so there’s no alternate setup to compare for efficiency or performance.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical complexity and more about whether the infotainment system and feature set match your expectations over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Acura RDX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are strong but not universal. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the infotainment system, driver-assistance features, and overall cabin condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect day-to-day satisfaction. It also makes sense to confirm that the trim and package content match the listing photos and equipment description.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin uses a vertical layout with a 10.2-inch infotainment display, physical climate controls, and a digital center display with analog gauges on either side. The interior is not as modern as rivals with oversized tablet-style screens and fully digital instrument panels, so base-trim shoppers should pay close attention to whether the equipment level feels complete enough for you.
• Powertrain: The RDX uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and SH-AWD is available on all models and standard on top trims. There is no more fuel-efficient or more powerful engine option.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-keep assist. The Technology package adds front and rear parking proximity sensors, while the Advance package adds a surround-view camera system and a head-up display.
• Infotainment: The system uses a touchpad controller rather than a touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto make it easier to use, and the cabin also comes standard with a Wi-Fi hotspot and remote monitoring and control via the Acuralink smartphone app.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD RDX is estimated at 21 mpg in the city, 26 mpg on the highway, and 23 mpg combined. FWD models improve by one mpg across the board.

Which 2023 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Acura RDX is offered in 5 trim levels: Base, Technology, A-Spec, Advance, and A-Spec Advance.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core RDX formula with the turbocharged engine, standard safety tech, and the brand’s distinctive cabin layout. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but you should be comfortable with the infotainment setup and the more basic feature mix.
• Technology: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds leather upholstery, a wireless charging pad, parking sensors, and an upgraded audio system for a reasonable price increase. If you want the sweet spot between price and luxury features, this is the one to target.
• A-Spec: This trim leans more toward style and a sportier presentation, so it suits you if appearance matters as much as equipment. It builds on the RDX’s already athletic character without changing the core powertrain.
• Advance: This is the better choice if you want a more complete luxury experience, with adaptive suspension dampers, additional front seat adjustments, premium audio, and a surround-view camera system. It’s the trim to consider if comfort and convenience matter most.
• A-Spec Advance: This is the top-end choice for shoppers who want the fullest feature set and the most upscale presentation. It combines the richer equipment of the Advance trim with the more expressive A-Spec treatment.

The Technology package is the trim-level move most shoppers should evaluate first, and the Advance package adds the most complete luxury content.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Acura RDX?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,060 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,554, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $34,554 sits slightly below last year's $37,103.

That decline suggests the RDX has become more approachable for used buyers, which can help you get more equipment for your money. It also means a future seller may need to price competitively if the market stays soft.

For you, the upside is better value today than a year ago. For a seller, the downside is that the model’s premium positioning does not fully protect it from broader used-market pressure.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX safe?

The 2023 Acura RDX earns five-star ratings for overall and side crash protection, and four-star ratings for frontal and rollover protection from NHTSA. The IIHS gave it its highest score of "good" across the board for crashworthiness and named it a Top Safety Pick+, its highest honor.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-keep assist. The Technology package adds front and rear parking proximity sensors, while the Advance package includes a surround-view camera system and a head-up display.

The lane-keep assist can tug against your hands in gentle curves, so it may feel better suited to long, straight highway drives than to more winding roads.

Should I buy a 2023 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.87% compared with last year.
• The 2023 stands out for strong performance, high comfort, and a relatively affordable price.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $30,992, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $34,554 average.
• It balances driving enjoyment with everyday usefulness.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market value story and the year’s well-rounded mix of comfort, performance, and safety. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the better budget-conscious alternative.
