The 2022 Volkswagen ID.4 is an all-electric small crossover that provides multiple motor options and plenty of passenger and cargo space. The ID.4 was introduced for the 2021 model year. For 2022, it offers up a bit more in the way of electric range. It also features DC fast charging, which is a critical feature for making EVs practical.
Trims for the ID.4 are Pro and Pro S. The Pro comes standard with heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel (which is also heated), cloth upholstery, manually-adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, four USB ports, and ambient lighting with 10 colors from which to choose. The Pro also comes standard with a fully digital instrument panel, wireless phone charging, and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Moving up to the Pro S upgrades the infotainment system to a 12-inch touchscreen. The Pro S also comes with massaging and 12-way power-adjustable front seats, a panoramic moonroof, a hands-free power liftgate, and synthetic leather upholstery.
The ID.4 is available in single-motor and dual-motor setups. Both are powered by an 82-kWh battery pack. The single motor puts 201 horsepower to the rear wheels. The dual-motor makes a combined 295 horsepower in an all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup. The single motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) ID.4 has a range of 280 miles, which is an increase of 20 miles over the 2021 model. The AWD dual-motor ID.4 has a range of 251 miles.
The ID.4 comes with the IQ Drive suite of driver assistance features. This includes automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also comes standard with rain-sensing windshield wipers and automatic high beams.
The 2022 Volkswagen ID.4 has a base MSRP of $41,320 and qualifies for a $7,500 Federal tax credit. The ID.4 AWD Pro starts at $44,910. The ID.4 comes with three years of 24-hour roadside assistance, including out-of-range charging and towing. Volkswagen also packages ID.4s with three years of complementary 30-minute fast charging through the Electrify America network.

(7 reviews)Coming from a Hyundai Tuscan 2015, I LOOOOVE this all electric VW! top of the line features: heated seats, full glass roof, contactless trunk opening, infotainment system with an elaborate amount of specs. I LOVE that the 2022 came with a mobile level 1 charger, which I view like having a gallon of emergency gas in the car. In part because of switching parent companies Im reading the manual to figure things out. Saving seat setting is waaaay more difficult than it needs to be, and the haptic keys to electronically move the side mirrors doesnt work! In sport mode, the pick-up is beautiful, quietest ride Ive driven in. Odd trunk in that theres a separate storage section underneath the floor, but that shelf is removable when hauling larger amounts. When charged to 100% reported 282 estimated miles.
Comfortable, great handling, quick acceleration, excellent ride quality. Plenty of cargo space and an attractive car all-around.
If you considering to move to electric car this is the best
I like the car if I get it
Way to many issues to list the most relevant sofware and infotainment and lack of power and breaking on the go due to battery issues and blown fuses . Along with other reviews . Several recalls and complaints online and videos available on YouTube . Theres also some tips . pros and cons . Otherwise the car cruising like a breeze and have maybe way to many features .to get to know . The 3 years of 30 min free charge on the go is included and free for first owner only , but Good luck with plug in or out ; the charger system have some glitches there too . I hoping New 2024 models get better on software and reduce all the current issueson 2021 to 2023 models.
