How much does the 2022 Toyota Prius cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 533 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Toyota Prius a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Prius earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its impressive fuel economy, comfortable ride, and efficiency-focused ownership experience. That lines up well with its role as a practical hybrid for daily driving, especially if you want to spend less time at the pump and more time in a dependable commuter. With 32.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a reasonable chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Toyota Prius reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a reliable, dependable ownership experience, with many drivers describing it as a car they can count on for efficient everyday use. That kind of reputation matters if you want a used hybrid that has already built trust with owners over time. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the Prius’s core reputation and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by heavy mileage or neglect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Prius?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident history, title status, and maintenance patterns. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the hybrid system, brakes, tires, and overall wear, since condition matters more than mileage alone on a used Prius. Focus on examples that show consistent upkeep and clean cosmetic and mechanical condition, especially if you plan to keep the car for the long haul.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Prius?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 533 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 76.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,993, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Prius's resale value?

The current average of $22,587 sits slightly below last year's $22,605.

That small decline suggests the Prius has held its value fairly well rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of stability is helpful because it points to a market that remains familiar with the model and comfortable with its value proposition. If you buy well and keep the car in good condition, you should have a reasonable path to resale later on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Prius or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $20,986, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $22,587 average.
• It emphasizes efficiency and everyday practicality.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $27,687, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $22,587 average.
• It adds a sharper design and more power.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the balanced choice if you want a proven Prius with steady pricing, solid inventory, and strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want a newer-feeling Prius and can stretch your budget, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
