Used 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross for Sale near Connecticut

How much does the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross cost?

Prices have softened 4.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 891 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise its surprising power, excellent ride comfort, and spacious interior, and they also appreciate the all-wheel drive for winter driving. In practical terms, that lines up well with its role as a compact crossover that blends Corolla familiarity with SUV utility. The tradeoffs are fairly pedestrian performance and uncomfortable seats, so it makes the most sense if you value easy ownership and everyday usefulness more than driving excitement. With 38.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free experience, with many shoppers describing it as a vehicle they can count on over the long term. Toyota’s free scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles also helps reduce early ownership hassle. The powertrain and warranty coverage are mainstream rather than exceptional, so your long-term risk is more about normal wear and condition than any obvious red flags.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings at similar prices. Focus on seat condition, interior wear, and how the vehicle drives at low speeds and on the highway, since comfort and refinement are the main areas where this model can vary in appeal. If you’re considering AWD, confirm that the system works properly and that the vehicle’s maintenance records are complete.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The L is the simplest version, with 17-inch steel wheels, cloth seats, a 7-inch touchscreen, and a key start, while the LE adds 17-inch alloy wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, a rear USB port, pushbutton start, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The XLE adds 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, SofTex upholstery, a digital instrument cluster, rear automatic braking, and front and rear park assist with automatic braking.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower and a CVT, and AWD is available. The setup is tuned more for everyday commuting than quick acceleration, and the engine can feel busy at higher speeds.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard, with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and Lane Tracing Assist automated lane centering. The LE adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while the XLE adds rear automatic braking and front and rear park assist with automatic braking.
• Infotainment: Base models get a 7-inch touchscreen, while LE and XLE models get an 8-inch screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Bluetooth, WiFi, Amazon Alexa compatibility, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Wireless charging is available on the LE, and the XLE adds a digital instrument cluster.
• Fuel efficiency: Toyota expects 33 mpg combined with FWD and 30 mpg combined with AWD, with estimated city/highway figures of 31 mpg city and 32 mpg highway for FWD and 29 mpg city and 32 mpg highway for AWD.

Which 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross is offered in 3 trim levels: L, LE, and XLE.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the least expensive way into the Corolla Cross, but it is also the most stripped-down. You get the basics, including the standard safety suite and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, but you give up the larger touchscreen, pushbutton start, and the extra convenience features found higher up the range.
• LE: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the 8-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, pushbutton start, a rear USB port, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert without jumping all the way to the top price. If you want the most balanced mix of equipment and value, this is the one to target.
• XLE: Choose this if you want the most comfort and convenience features, including SofTex upholstery, the digital instrument cluster, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, rear automatic braking, and front and rear park assist with automatic braking. It makes sense if you want the most fully equipped Corolla Cross, but it costs more for features that are nice to have rather than essential.

The LE adds the most meaningful safety and convenience upgrades, while the XLE gets the most complete safety package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 891 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,171, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross's resale value?

The current average of $23,440 sits slightly below last year's $24,598.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you shop carefully now, you may have a better chance of limiting your own depreciation hit later. Strong demand for well-rated, practical crossovers can also help support used-market interest over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard, and it includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and Lane Tracing Assist automated lane centering. The LE adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while the XLE adds rear automatic braking and front and rear park assist with automatic braking. One caveat is that crash-test ratings were not available yet in the source material, so you should still check for updated results before buying.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.70% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want the Corolla Cross with the strongest value story and you’re comfortable with its modest performance, the 2022 is a sensible buy. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully within this year, but the best listings are likely to go quickly.
