How much does the 2022 RAM 3500 cost?

Prices have softened 8.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,399 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — 4.86/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, towing capability, spacious interior, and value for money, and the RAM Box feature comes up as a standout convenience. That makes it especially appealing if you want a heavy-duty truck that can handle serious work while still feeling comfortable for daily use. With 32.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many people trust for power, comfort, and everyday usefulness, with reliability praise tied to its overall dependability and trouble-free ownership experience. At the same time, some reviewers mention mixed feelings about the transmission, so you should pay close attention to service records and how the truck has been maintained. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but a careful pre-purchase check is still important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 RAM 3500?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm accident status, title history, and maintenance patterns before you get too far into the process. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the transmission, since owner feedback includes mixed reliability concerns there. It also makes sense to focus on overall condition and signs of hard use, especially if the truck was previously used for towing or heavy-duty work.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,399 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $51,602, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $51,610 sits slightly below last year's $56,146.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a better entry point now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For future resale, the truck’s strong capability and broad appeal should still support demand, especially among buyers who need heavy-duty towing and payload strength. Well-kept examples with desirable features and clean history should hold up better than trucks with signs of hard use.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.08% compared with last year.

The bottom line:
