How much does the 2019 RAM 3500 cost?

Is the 2019 RAM 3500 a good car?

Generally — the 2019 RAM 3500 earns a 4.4/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, luxury features, and comfort, and they also highlight its capability and styling. That makes it a strong fit if you want a heavy-duty truck that can handle long trips and demanding work while still feeling more upscale than a basic hauler. With 31.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a truck that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to heavy-duty buyers, especially when it comes to power, comfort, and capability. At the same time, some shoppers note mechanical concerns and pricing pressure, so you should treat reliability as something to verify carefully on each individual truck. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable if you focus on maintenance history and condition rather than assuming every example will be equally trouble-free.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 RAM 3500?

At 68% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from trucks with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a heavy-duty truck that may have been used for towing or hard work. Focus on overall condition, signs of wear, and whether the truck’s equipment and maintenance history match the way you plan to use it.

If you find a listing below $41,946, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $41,982 sits slightly below last year's $45,858.

That decline suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy now, the softer pricing could help you get in at a better value point than a year ago. Strong owner satisfaction can still support demand when you eventually sell, especially for well-kept trucks with desirable equipment and clean history.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner satisfaction, a softer price trend, and a broad pool of listings to compare, the 2019 is the better primary target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained truck rather than the newest badge alone.
