Is the 2022 RAM 3500 Chassis reliable?

At 72.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 RAM 3500 Chassis?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.72% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,072, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 RAM 3500 Chassis's resale value?

The current average of $41,072 sits slightly below last year's $45,495.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and documentation will matter more because buyers tend to reward clean, well-kept examples when prices are moving down.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 3500 Chassis or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2022 if you want a model year with softer pricing and a solid satisfaction signal, especially if you can verify a clean history and find a well-priced example. If you're more price-sensitive, it can also make sense to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained truck rather than the newest badge.
