Is the 2022 Porsche Cayenne a good car?

The 2022 Porsche Cayenne stands out because it blends Porsche performance with the practicality of a midsize SUV. It was described as more of an evolution than a typical redesign, with restyled bodywork, a slightly longer body, and a slight weight reduction, and it came with standard all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

For you, that means the Cayenne makes the most sense if you value driving feel and luxury more than outright practicality or low running costs. It was also described as expensive with few standard features, limited cargo capacity, and pricey maintenance, so its appeal is strongest when you want a sporty, upscale SUV rather than a bargain buy.

33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Porsche Cayenne reliable?

The 2022 Porsche Cayenne is described as having sturdy construction, which supports its appeal as a premium used SUV. It also carries the kind of refined interior and strong performance that make it feel well sorted in everyday use.

For you, the main long-term ownership risk is that pricey maintenance can make an otherwise appealing used example more expensive to keep than you might expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Porsche Cayenne?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection and pay close attention to maintenance records, since this model is described as having pricey maintenance. Focus on overall condition, because a well-kept example is more likely to deliver the refined driving experience you want without surprise costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Porsche Cayenne?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 935 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.20% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $57,812, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $58,751 sits slightly below last year's $64,701.

That price movement suggests the used market has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help you if you're buying now and may soften the hit if you sell later. Because the Cayenne is still positioned as a premium SUV with strong appeal, condition and maintenance history will matter a lot when it comes time to resell. If you keep the vehicle well maintained and avoid deferred service, you should be in a better position to protect value.

Should I buy a 2022 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.20% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2022 Cayenne is a strong choice if you want the blend of Porsche performance, upscale feel, and a market that has become a bit more favorable on price. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and shop the best-maintained example rather than focusing only on the badge year.
