Is the 2022 Porsche Cayenne a good car?

The 2022 Porsche Cayenne stands out because it blends the polish and performance expected of Porsche with the practicality of a midsize SUV. It is appealing if you want a luxury SUV that feels genuinely sporty without needing to move up to the pricier performance versions.

The overview also points to a refined interior, sturdy construction, standard all-wheel drive, and an eight-speed automatic, which supports its upscale, capable character. At the same time, it is expensive with few standard features and limited cargo capacity, so it fits best if you value driving feel and premium execution over maximum utility.

33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Porsche Cayenne reliable?

The 2022 Porsche Cayenne is presented as a refined, capable luxury SUV with sturdy construction and a reputation for being a well-executed premium vehicle. It also comes across as a model that was designed to deliver strong performance without giving up everyday usability.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic competence and more about the cost of keeping a high-end Porsche in top condition, especially when maintenance and repairs can be pricey.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Porsche Cayenne?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, maintenance history, and any signs of prior damage or deferred upkeep, since premium ownership costs can add up quickly if the vehicle has been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Porsche Cayenne?

This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 928 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $58,021, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $58,829 sits slightly below last year's $64,323.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more strategically now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and maintenance history than to broad market momentum alone. If you keep the vehicle well maintained and present it cleanly, you should be in a better position to protect value when it is time to sell.

Should I buy a 2022 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.54% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a strong choice if you want the Cayenne’s sporty luxury formula and you can find a clean example at a competitive price. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing for a lower entry cost, but the 2022 still offers a compelling balance of availability, condition, and softened pricing.
