Used 2022 Nissan Titan for Sale nearPortland, OR

How much does the 2022 Nissan Titan cost?

Prices have softened 8.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 860 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Nissan Titan a good car?

Yes — with a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating, the 2022 Nissan Titan lands in appealing territory for used-truck shoppers. The truck’s stylish design and quiet cabin help it feel more polished than its overlooked reputation suggests, and it’s positioned as a straightforward full-size pickup with a standard V8 and a choice of rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

That said, you should weigh the lack of a manual transmission and the poor fuel economy against its strengths. If you want a simple, well-equipped full-size pickup with strong value, the Titan fits that use case well.

32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still opportunities to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Nissan Titan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The Titan’s straightforward mechanical setup and standard V8 powertrain support its reputation for being uncomplicated, while the expert review also points to a quiet cabin and solid build quality as positives for everyday ownership.

The truck’s performance notes emphasize a well-mated engine and transmission, plus composed road manners, which are encouraging signs if you plan to keep it for the long haul. It also includes a maintenance perk in the available ownership content: the first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that poor fuel economy can make it more expensive to live with over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Nissan Titan?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because accident-free status does not replace a proper inspection. Prioritize the truck’s condition, especially if you’re looking at higher-mileage examples or a trim that may have seen towing or off-road use. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on wear items, cabin condition, and evidence of hard use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Titan’s cabin is described as clean, uncluttered, and well finished, with generous space and strong material quality. Higher trims add more comfort and convenience, while the base setup is simpler.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a 5.6-liter gasoline V8 with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It delivers 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, and fuel economy is poor.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist, and rear automatic braking. Standard intelligent forward collision warning and eight airbags are also included.
• Infotainment: An 8-inch center display is standard, with a 9-inch touchscreen available. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, NissanConnect, Bluetooth, a WiFi hotspot, and two USB ports are standard.
• Fuel efficiency: RWD models are rated at 16 mpg city/21 mpg highway/18 mpg combined, 4WD models at 15 mpg city/21 mpg highway/18 mpg combined, and Pro-4X models at 15 mpg city/20 mpg highway/17 mpg combined.

Which 2022 Nissan Titan trim should I buy?

The 2022 Nissan Titan is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, Pro-4X, Platinum Reserve, and Crew Cab.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point if you want the lowest starting price and the Titan’s core V8 powertrain, standard safety tech, and basic infotainment without paying for extras.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more flexibility in cab and drivetrain choices while keeping the Titan’s straightforward formula intact.
• Pro-4X: Choose this if you want the off-road-oriented setup, including 4WD, all-terrain tires, locking rear differential, and Bilstein shocks.
• Platinum Reserve: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with the most upscale equipment and the upgraded audio and navigation setup.
• Crew Cab: If passenger space matters most, this body style is the one to prioritize, especially for family use or daily driving.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, so you get the core driver-assistance package no matter which trim you choose.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Nissan Titan?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 860 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,391, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Nissan Titan's resale value?

The current average of $28,391 sits slightly below last year's $31,045.

That decline suggests the Titan has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you own one, the softer market can work against you in the short term, especially if your truck is not in especially strong condition or lacks desirable equipment.

On the other hand, the Titan’s distinctive styling, standard V8, and strong feature set can still help it stand out from more common full-size pickups. Well-kept examples should remain easier to market than stripped or heavily worn trucks.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Nissan Titan safe?

The Titan received top “Good” ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in all but the “small overlap front: passenger-side” crash test, where it received an “Acceptable” rating. It also earned “Superior” ratings for front crash prevention tech, both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist, and rear automatic braking. Standard intelligent forward collision warning and eight airbags add to the safety package.

One caveat to keep in mind: the standard halogen reflector headlights on the S and SV trims received a “Poor” rating, while Pro-4X and Platinum Reserve models get full LED headlights that were not rated.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 keeps the Titan’s straightforward V8 formula, quiet cabin, and strong standard safety package.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $29,074, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $28,391 average.
• It brings a strong mix of standard power, technology, and safety features.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better primary target if you want the lower average price and a broad pool of listings to shop. If you’re focused on value and want a simple, well-equipped full-size pickup, it makes sense to start here. If you’re comparing closely priced examples, the 2021 can still be worth a look, but the 2022’s softer pricing gives you a better starting point for negotiation.
