Used 2022 Nissan Maxima for Sale nearSaint Louis, MO

How much does the 2022 Nissan Maxima cost?

Prices have softened 8.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 552 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Maxima options to compare.

Is the 2022 Nissan Maxima a good car?

The 2022 Nissan Maxima stands out as a large sedan with a strong standard-equipment list and a distinctive personality. It uses a 3.5-liter V6, and the overview emphasizes that you get a well-equipped cabin, broad driver-assistance coverage, and a more engaging driving character than many mainstream sedans.

For you, that means the Maxima makes the most sense if you want a sedan with a premium feel, strong V6 power, and plenty of convenience and safety content. Its smaller cabin and less sporty-than-it-looks character are part of the tradeoff, but the overall package is appealing if those priorities matter more than maximum space.

The market shows 30.4% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Nissan Maxima reliable?

The 2022 Nissan Maxima is presented as a familiar, long-running sedan with a straightforward mechanical setup and a strong list of standard equipment. The overview points to a proven V6, front-wheel drive, and a model that has been refined over time with added safety and convenience features.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about novelty and more about making sure the specific car has been maintained well and still feels tight, since age and mileage will matter more than the basic formula.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Nissan Maxima?

At 73.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize an inspection that checks for prior bodywork, uneven panel gaps, and signs of poor repairs. Focus on overall condition, because a clean-looking Maxima can still hide accident-related issues that affect value and long-term satisfaction.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Nissan Maxima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 552 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,578, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Nissan Maxima's resale value?

The current average of $22,636 sits slightly below last year's $24,871.

That price movement suggests the Maxima has softened enough to help you buy more affordably today, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well you preserve condition and mileage. If you buy at the right price and keep the car clean, you can reduce the sting of depreciation. If you overpay now, the softer market makes it harder to recover that cost later.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Maxima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.98% compared with last year.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $18,678, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $22,636 average.
• It offers a more relaxed, comfort-focused take on the Maxima.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2022 if you want the newer model-year pricing context and a broad pool of listings to compare. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2021 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in strong condition and can live with the older-year value proposition.
