Used 2022 Nissan LEAF for Sale near Michigan

How much does the 2022 Nissan LEAF cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 252 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Nissan LEAF a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Nissan LEAF earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview frames it as an affordable electric hatchback with simple daily usability, a practical shape, and useful equipment for mainstream EV shoppers. It also highlights features like e-Pedal driving, a 6.6-kW onboard charger, and available vehicle-to-home capability, which make it especially appealing if you want an easy-to-live-with EV for commuting and everyday errands. With 38.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2022 Nissan LEAF reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the LEAF’s reliability story is tied to its straightforward second-generation formula, practical equipment, and everyday usability rather than complexity. It also notes that the car’s older charging hardware and air-cooled battery design may matter to some shoppers, especially if you plan to keep the car for the long haul. For used buyers, that means your biggest ownership risk is less about day-to-day drivability and more about making sure the battery and charging setup still fit your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Nissan LEAF?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm the car’s accident record and ownership background, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on battery condition and charging behavior. Because this model is an EV with older charging tech, you should also pay close attention to how well it charges and whether the equipment matches your home setup and driving routine. Condition matters most on a used LEAF when you’re evaluating battery health, charging compatibility, and overall wear.

What is the 2022 Nissan LEAF's resale value?

The current average of $14,832 sits slightly below last year's $14,873.

That small decline suggests the LEAF’s resale market has been fairly stable rather than volatile. For a future seller, that kind of pricing pattern can be helpful because it points to predictable demand instead of sharp swings. The model’s value proposition is strongest when buyers are looking for an affordable EV with practical everyday use, which helps support interest in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan LEAF or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 LEAF makes the most sense if you want a used EV with stable pricing, decent inventory, and strong owner approval. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar LEAF offers a lower entry point or a better deal mix, but the 2022 is a sensible primary target if you want a straightforward, value-focused electric hatchback.
