You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a careful inspection of the car’s condition and maintenance evidence. Because this model is compact and style-driven, you’ll want to make sure the example you choose still feels well-kept rather than merely attractive in photos.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA's resale value?

The current average of $28,468 sits slightly below last year's $30,366.

That softer pricing can help you buy more efficiently today, but it also means future resale will depend on how well the market continues to value this model’s style and premium presentation. If demand stays steady, a well-kept CLA should remain appealing to shoppers who want a compact luxury sedan with a strong visual identity. The current price trend suggests there is still room for depreciation to work in your favor as a buyer, but it also means a future seller should expect resale to track condition and desirability closely.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $23,540, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,468 average.
• It emphasizes sharp styling, energetic performance, and a high-class interior.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, deal share, and owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the better primary target. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the more price-sensitive path and still delivers the core CLA appeal.
