Used 2022 Mazda CX-30 for Sale nearCharlotte, NC

How much does the 2022 Mazda CX-30 cost?

Prices have softened 2.30% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,106 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mazda CX-30 earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, premium-feeling interior, and spacious cabin. Many also like the quiet ride and strong performance, which fits a small crossover that feels more upscale than many rivals.

The trade-offs are the underwhelming base engine and the confusing infotainment system. That makes it a better fit if you value refinement, driving enjoyment, and a cabin that feels a step above the norm.

With 36.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for performance, a quiet ride, and a strong engine. That kind of recurring satisfaction usually matters more than a single feature when you’re trying to judge long-term confidence in a used SUV.

The expert evaluation also emphasizes a refined ride and solid build quality, which supports the impression that this is a vehicle you can count on day to day. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about core durability and more about living with the infotainment quirks and checking for any reported electrical issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mazda CX-30?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are not the same as guaranteed trouble-free ownership. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin electronics, visibility, and overall condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect your day-to-day satisfaction.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.5 S comes with standard all-wheel drive, an 8.8-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an eight-speaker stereo, while the 2.5 S Select adds 18-inch wheels, synthetic leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, and rear climate vents. The 2.5 S Preferred adds a power sunroof, heated front seats, and an eight-way power driver’s seat, while the 2.5 S Premium adds a power rear liftgate, full leather upholstery, a head-up display, and adaptive headlights. The Turbo Premium Plus adds front-and-rear parking sensors and additional driver-assistance features.
• Powertrain: The base engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 186 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, while the turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder is rated at 227 hp and 310 lb-ft on 87 octane fuel, or 250 hp and 320 lb-ft on 93 octane fuel. The turbo version is the stronger choice if you want quicker acceleration and more passing confidence.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision avoidance, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, rain-sensing wipers, and adaptive cruise control. Higher trims can add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic-sign recognition, front-and-rear parking sensors, and reverse automatic emergency braking.
• Infotainment: The CX-30 uses an 8.8-inch screen controlled by a rotary dial, and it supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Pandora internet radio. The system is not touch-operated, so you should test it yourself to make sure you’re comfortable with the interface.
• Fuel efficiency: The base engine returns an EPA-estimated 24 mpg city and 31 mpg highway, while the turbo engine returns 22 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.

Which 2022 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 7 trim levels: 2.5 S, 2.5 S Select, 2.5 S Preferred, 2.5 S Premium, Turbo, Turbo Premium, and Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5 S: This is the entry point, but it still gives you standard all-wheel drive, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a strong safety baseline. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the CX-30 without giving up the core appeal.
• 2.5 S Select: This trim adds a more polished feel with synthetic leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, rear vents, and larger wheels. It looks like the best-value step up if you want more comfort and a nicer cabin without jumping too far in price.
• 2.5 S Preferred: This is the sweet spot for many shoppers because it adds a power sunroof, heated front seats, and a power driver’s seat. If you want the CX-30 to feel meaningfully more upscale, this is the trim to target.
• 2.5 S Premium: This trim brings a power rear liftgate, full leather upholstery, a head-up display, and adaptive headlights. It suits you if you want more convenience and a richer feature set.
• Turbo: Choose this if you care most about stronger acceleration and a more energetic driving feel. It’s the right move if the base engine sounds too modest for your needs.
• Turbo Premium: This trim layers in more premium equipment while keeping the turbo powertrain. It fits buyers who want the stronger engine and a more upscale experience.
• Turbo Premium Plus: This is the most fully equipped version, adding front-and-rear parking sensors and additional driver-assistance features. It’s the best pick if you want the most complete CX-30 package.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, with standard driver-assistance features on every trim and additional features available as you move up.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,106 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.30% compared with last year.

What is the 2022 Mazda CX-30's resale value?

The current average of $22,059 sits slightly below last year's $22,579.

That softer pricing suggests the CX-30 is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively appreciating. For a future seller, that means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice rather than broad market momentum.

The current price range also shows that buyers still have options, so a clean, well-equipped example should matter more than a marginally lower asking price. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It blends upscale design with standard safety and a refined ride.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $19,082, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $22,059 average.
• It emphasizes premium feel and turbocharged confidence.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,323, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $22,059 average.
• It adds a more powerful base engine and improved side-impact protection.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2022 if you want the best balance of price, safety, and upscale feel. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the value play; if you want the newer updates and can spend more, the 2023 is worth a look.
