How much does the 2022 Lexus NX cost?

Prices have softened 4.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 909 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Lexus NX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The redesigned NX is aimed at a young, affluent, diverse, and tech-savvy buyer, and it backs that up with stylish design and a strong emphasis on advanced technology. It also adds standard advanced safety features, which makes it especially appealing if you want a premium compact SUV that feels modern and useful in everyday driving.

The trade-offs are that it can be noisy, its off-road capability is poor, and it lacks a physical tuning knob. Even so, the overall package is distinctive because it blends bold styling with a tech-forward cabin and a more dynamic character than before.

35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 NX is built around Lexus’s pillars of bold design, advanced technology, electrification, and dynamic tuning, and the expert review describes it as a more attractive, more dynamic, and more technologically advanced SUV than the one it replaces. The performance notes also point to a composed, capable feel on the road, with the platform’s lower center of gravity and reduced curb weight helping the SUV feel more settled.

The cost-effectiveness commentary adds that the new NX’s base model price is impressive given its standard technology load, which can matter if you want a well-equipped luxury SUV without immediately moving up the trim ladder. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that higher complexity and premium features can make condition and maintenance history especially important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lexus NX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a premium SUV with a lot of standard technology. Focus on overall condition, how the infotainment and driver-assistance features operate, and whether the vehicle shows signs of heavy use or neglected maintenance.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The NX lineup includes base, Premium, F Sport, and Luxury trims, and the base model is the one most likely to leave you wanting more equipment. The Luxury trim adds real leather and open-pore wood trim, while the F Sport brings a more aggressive look and sport-focused cabin details.
• Powertrain: The NX 250 uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with front-wheel drive and an eight-speed CVT, while the NX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 275 horsepower, 317 pound-feet of torque, and standard all-wheel drive. The NX 350h hybrid and NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid are also part of the broader lineup.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard and includes Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, Oncoming Vehicle Detection, Oncoming Pedestrian Detection, Curve Speed Management, and Emergency Driving Stop System. Standard blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and Safe Exit Assist are also included, while Premium trim adds rear pedestrian detection and several other upgrades.
• Infotainment: A 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard, with a 14-inch screen available. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with over-the-air updates, and the system also supports connected services and voice assistance.
• Fuel efficiency: The NX 350 is estimated at 25 mpg in combined driving, while the NX 350h is rated at 39 mpg combined and the NX 450h+ offers an estimated 36 miles of pure electric range before switching to hybrid operation.

Which 2022 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2022 Lexus NX is offered in 4 trim levels: base, Premium, F Sport, and Luxury.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, and it makes the NX’s redesign and standard tech easier to access. It suits you if you want the core styling, safety, and infotainment features without paying for extras.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim if you want the most meaningful upgrades without jumping all the way to the top. It adds useful safety and convenience content, including rear pedestrian detection and other driver-assistance features.
• F Sport: Choose this if you want the sportiest look and feel in the lineup. It adds unique exterior treatment, sport-bolstered seats, a black headliner, and performance-oriented cabin details.
• Luxury: Pick this if you want the most upscale cabin materials and a more relaxed premium feel. It adds real leather and open-pore wood trim, making it the most comfort-focused choice.

Premium trim is the key safety-package step up, since it adds rear pedestrian detection and several other advanced features.

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 909 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,238, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $35,249 sits slightly below last year's $36,959.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already moved through some of its initial depreciation, which can help future sellers if demand stays steady. Because the NX combines premium branding, strong safety, and broad appeal, it should remain attractive to used shoppers who want a modern luxury compact SUV.

If you keep the vehicle in good condition and maintain it well, you may be better positioned when it comes time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

• It still offers stylish looks, a high-quality interior, and agile driving dynamics.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the newer design, stronger tech, and standard safety features. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value play, especially if you can live with its older cabin and less modern feel.
