Used 2021 Lexus NX for Sale nearTampa, FL

How much does the 2021 Lexus NX cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 993 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare on price and condition.

Is the 2021 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Lexus NX earns 4.8/5 from owners and 7/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, safety features, and comfortable cabin. The overview also points to a polished everyday SUV with good looks and a high-quality interior, which lines up with the strong owner feedback.

The trade-offs are interior materials that can feel cheap, poor handling, and a cramped back seat. For you, that means the NX makes the most sense if you value comfort, style, and a premium-feeling daily driver more than sharp handling or generous rear-seat space.

Only 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the best examples may move quickly.

Is the 2021 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise centered on the NX’s stylish design, safety features, and comfortable interior. The expert review also describes Lexus reliability as historically strong, and the NX’s traditional Lexus character supports that reputation.

The expert notes that Lexus backs the NX with a four-year/50,000-mile limited warranty and a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is less about outright durability and more about whether the specific vehicle has been maintained well and kept in good condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Lexus NX?

At 73.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Pay close attention to signs of prior bodywork, uneven panel gaps, tire wear, and any cabin wear that suggests harder use than the mileage implies.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The NX 300 is offered in base and Luxury trim levels, while the F Sport adds a sportier exterior treatment, quilted NuLuxe sport seats, and available leather and wood trim. The base trim gets standard 17-inch wheels and power-folding outside mirrors, so you can use that as a quick check for feature gaps versus the F Sport.
• Powertrain: The NX 300 and 300 F Sport use a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is standard and includes a rearview camera, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, automatic high beams, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard as well.
• Infotainment: An 8-inch touchscreen is standard, and a 10.3-inch screen is available with the Navigation package. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the Navigation package also adds predictive traffic information, HomeLink, and Lexus Enform Destination Assist.
• Fuel efficiency: The gas model is rated at 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway with front-wheel drive, or 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway with all-wheel drive.

Which 2021 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2021 Lexus NX is offered in 3 trim levels: NX 300, NX 300 F Sport, and NX 300 Luxury.

Here's the short version:

• NX 300: This is the value-focused choice if you want the NX’s core strengths without paying for the sportier appearance or extra luxury touches. It still gives you the standard safety suite, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the NX’s comfortable, premium-feeling daily-driver character.
• NX 300 F Sport: This is the one to choose if you want the most distinctive styling and a more aggressive look. It adds the F Sport exterior treatment, quilted NuLuxe sport seats, and available leather and wood trim, but the underlying driving character still leans more comfortable cruiser than performance SUV.
• NX 300 Luxury: This is the trim to consider if you want the most upscale feel and are willing to pay more for it. It builds on the NX’s premium cabin and is the best fit if interior comfort and a richer presentation matter more than sporty styling.

Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Lexus NX?

The market looks moderate and selective, so you can shop patiently but should still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 993 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,446, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $28,467 sits slightly below last year's $28,649.

That small decline suggests the NX has held value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For you as a future seller, that kind of stability can make pricing easier because the market has already shown a consistent willingness to pay around this level.

The year-round range is also fairly tight, which points to a predictable used market. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you should be better positioned to preserve value when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Lexus NX safe?

The 2021 Lexus NX earns Good scores from IIHS and a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 is standard, and it includes a rearview camera, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, automatic high beams, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard too, while park assist, a surround-view camera system, and adaptive headlights are optional.

The expert review also notes that Lexus Enform Safety Connect is included, with emergency assistance, roadside assistance, automatic collision notification, and stolen-vehicle notification. One caveat is that some helpful safety upgrades still require optional equipment.

Should I buy a 2021 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers strong standard safety equipment and a polished, comfortable daily-driver feel.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $35,249, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $28,467 average.
• It brings a redesigned, more modern, and more technologically advanced cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2021 is the smarter buy because it combines strong owner satisfaction, steady pricing, and a broad used inventory. If you are willing to spend more for a newer design and a more advanced feel, the 2022 is the upgrade path to consider.
