Used 2022 Lexus NX for Sale nearSaint Paul, MN

How much does the 2022 Lexus NX cost?

Prices have softened 5.24% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 912 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating and 7.83/10 expert rating point to a strong overall package. The redesigned NX is aimed at a young, affluent, diverse, and tech-savvy buyer, and it backs that up with stylish design, advanced technology, and standard advanced safety features. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The trade-offs are clear: it is noisy, its off-road capability is poor, and it lacks a physical tuning knob. Even so, the NX’s modern cabin and premium compact-SUV mission make sense if you value design and features as much as traditional luxury comfort.

36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2022 NX is presented as a more attractive, more dynamic, and more technologically advanced SUV than the one it replaces, and Lexus leans heavily on advanced technology and standard safety equipment to support its appeal. Its powertrain and chassis tuning are described as composed and capable, which helps reinforce confidence in everyday use.

The dependability story is also helped by the brand’s emphasis on advanced technology and the NX’s broad standard equipment. If you plan to keep a used one for the long haul, the main risk is less about basic concept and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by heavy use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lexus NX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are not the same as guaranteed clean ownership histories. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin electronics, touchscreen operation, and any features you expect to use every day. It also makes sense to focus on overall condition, since the NX’s appeal depends heavily on its tech-forward interior and premium feel.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The NX comes in base, Premium, F Sport, and Luxury trims. The base model gets the core design and technology, while the Luxury trim adds real leather and open-pore wood trim. The F Sport adds a unique mesh-pattern grille, body-color fender trim, 20-inch gloss black wheels, black mirrors, sport-bolstered seats, a black headliner, and unique instrumentation. The Premium trim is the one to watch if you want more safety-related equipment.
• Powertrain: The NX 250 uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, while the NX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. The NX 350 is the more rewarding choice, and it comes with all-wheel drive standard.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, and it includes Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, Oncoming Vehicle Detection, Oncoming Pedestrian Detection, Curve Speed Management, and Emergency Driving Stop System. Standard blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and Safe Exit Assist are also included. Rear pedestrian detection comes with Premium trim, along with an adaptive front lighting system, rain-sensing wipers, semi-autonomous parking assist with automatic braking, and rear cross-traffic braking.
• Infotainment: A 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard, and a 14-inch screen is available. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Voice Assistant technology and over-the-air software updates. The larger screen adds cloud-based navigation and other connected features.
• Fuel efficiency: The NX 350 is estimated at 25 mpg in combined driving, while observed fuel economy in testing was 22.2 mpg for the F Sport and 25.5 mpg for the Luxury trim.

Which 2022 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2022 Lexus NX is offered in 4 trim levels: base, Premium, F Sport, and Luxury.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the redesigned NX’s core styling, standard technology, and standard safety equipment without paying for extras.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim if you want the most meaningful safety upgrade, since it adds rear pedestrian detection, adaptive front lighting, rain-sensing wipers, semi-autonomous parking assist with automatic braking, and rear cross-traffic braking.
• F Sport: Choose this if you want the sportiest look and feel, with the unique grille, 20-inch wheels, sport seats, and extra drive modes.
• Luxury: Pick this if you want the most upscale cabin treatment, including real leather and open-pore wood trim.

The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite is a major plus across the lineup, but the Premium trim is the one that adds the most notable safety-related equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 912 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.24% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,278, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $35,364 sits slightly below last year's $37,319.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer now but may temper future resale gains if you sell soon. If you buy at the right price, you may have less depreciation risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. The NX’s premium positioning and strong feature set should still help it remain appealing to used shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned NX brings bold design, advanced technology, and standard advanced safety features.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $28,575, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $35,364 average.
• It remains a stylish luxury compact SUV with good looks, a high-quality interior, and agile driving dynamics.

The bottom line: If you want the newer design, stronger tech, and standard safety equipment, the 2022 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the smarter value play, especially if you can live with its older interior and less refined overall package.
