Should I buy a 2022 Kia Niro or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.21% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $22,127, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $19,647 average.
• The redesign brings a cleaner look and a more modern, eco-focused cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2022 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer redesign and updated presentation, the 2023 is the better upgrade path.
