Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

The current average of $27,283 sits slightly below last year's $34,241.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale performance will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and how desirable its condition remains. Strong pricing today can still support a healthier exit later if you buy carefully and keep the vehicle in top shape.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 41.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,054, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $27,283 average.
• It blends Wrangler capability with plug-in hybrid torque.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market mix of pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
