Used 2022 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearRoanoke, VA

How much does the 2022 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 7.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,936 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for used shoppers.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spacious interior, smooth ride, and useful features like the in-bed trunk and dual-function tailgate. The Ridgeline also gets credit for solid value compared with other midsized trucks, especially if you want everyday usability over traditional truck roughness.

The trade-offs are clear: the transmission can feel irritating, and the technology is dated. It fits you best if you want a midsize pickup that behaves more like a refined daily driver than a hard-edged work truck.

Good and great deals account for 38.8% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as dependable, comfortable, and a truck they can count on for everyday use. The review summary also points to a strong reputation for long-term satisfaction, especially among buyers who value a smooth, trouble-free ownership experience.

The Ridgeline’s standard V6 and AWD setup support that dependable character, and Honda’s standard warranty coverage adds another layer of reassurance. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about living with dated tech and the transmission’s behavior.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because accident-free listings are common but not guaranteed. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the transmission behavior, infotainment responsiveness, and overall cabin condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect day-to-day satisfaction. It also makes sense to confirm that the truck’s features match the trim you’re considering, especially if you want the more complete safety or convenience equipment.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Sport is the most stripped-down version, while higher trims add more comfort and convenience equipment. The RTL-E and Black Edition bring more upscale features, and the Black Edition is the most fully equipped choice.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard AWD. The engine makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, but the transmission can be slow to respond.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Infotainment: The Ridgeline uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. SiriusXM is available on all but the base Sport, and navigation is included on the RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA-rated fuel economy is 21 mpg combined, 18 mpg city, and 24 mpg highway.

Which 2022 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it leaves out some convenience and safety equipment that you may want in a used truck. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Ridgeline formula, but it is not the best value if you care about features.
• RTL: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a more complete comfort and convenience mix without jumping all the way to the top of the range. If you want the Ridgeline’s core strengths with fewer compromises, this is the trim to target.
• RTL-E: This trim adds more premium equipment and includes navigation, making it a strong choice if you want a better-equipped daily driver. It also gets automatic high beams.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, with the richest feature set and the most distinctive appearance. It suits you best if you want the most fully equipped Ridgeline and are willing to pay for it.

Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport trim level, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,936 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,149, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $29,149 sits slightly below last year's $31,540.

That decline suggests the Ridgeline has become a bit more affordable for used buyers, which can help demand stay healthy if you decide to sell later. A softer market today can also make your purchase easier to justify, especially if you buy near the lower end of the range.

Because the Ridgeline still has strong owner satisfaction and a clear identity as a comfort-focused midsize truck, it should remain appealing to shoppers who value refinement and practicality. That kind of demand can help support resale value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The Ridgeline received top “Good” scores in most Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests, but received a lower “Average” score in the passenger-side small overlap frontal test. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave Honda’s truck a five-star overall safety rating, with five stars in frontal and side crash tests, and four stars in rollover crash testing.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.

The main caveat is the lower IIHS result in the passenger-side small overlap frontal test, along with the missing 360-degree camera system.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the refined, comfort-first Ridgeline formula with standard AWD and strong everyday usability.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,038, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,149 average.
• It adds a fresher truck-like look and strong everyday usability.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,109, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $29,149 average.
• It emphasizes practicality for buyers who want a midsize truck without traditional compromises.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2022 if you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and available inventory. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer alternative, the 2023 is the next step up.
