How much does the 2022 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 10.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,007 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing options.

Is the 2022 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Pilot earns a 4.83/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise the spacious interior, smooth ride, and quiet cabin, and many also value the family-friendly comfort and useful features. That makes it a strong fit if you want a midsize SUV that prioritizes everyday usability, especially for family hauling and commuting. With 37.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.83/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the Pilot’s smooth ride, quiet cabin, and overall comfort over time. Those are the kinds of traits that usually matter most when you want a vehicle you can count on day after day. For used buyers, that suggests manageable long-term ownership risk if you choose a well-kept example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Pilot?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check each listing carefully, because a clean history report is only the starting point. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on interior condition, cabin wear, and how well the vehicle’s family-use features have held up. It also makes sense to compare trim-level equipment closely so you know whether the listing matches the comfort and tech you expect.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Pilot?

This is a moderate market for buyers, so you can be selective without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,007 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,376, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $28,376 sits slightly below last year's $31,541.

That price movement suggests the model has softened in the near term, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the current trend means resale value may be more sensitive to mileage, condition, and equipment than it would be in a tighter market. Well-kept examples should still draw interest because the Pilot’s practical strengths remain easy for shoppers to understand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $25,042, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,376 average.
• It emphasizes everyday usefulness, comfort, and straightforward technology.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $36,846, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $28,376 average.
• It brings a full redesign with a more rugged look and more power.

The bottom line:

The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want a well-equipped Pilot with strong owner satisfaction and a softer price than last year. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want the newest design and are willing to pay more, the 2023 is the upgrade path to consider.
