Used 2022 Honda Odyssey for Sale nearCovington, GA

How much does the 2022 Honda Odyssey cost?

Prices have softened 10.68% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,824 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 7.0/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, and family-friendly versatility, especially on long trips. The driving experience also comes through as a recurring strength, with reviewers appreciating how easy it is to live with day to day. On the downside, some owners wish lower trims had more convenience features, including automatic doors and better storage solutions.

That lines up with the expert view: the Odyssey is engaging to drive and practical for families, but it trails rivals in stylish design, all-weather capability, electrified efficiency, infotainment technology, and outright luxury. It fits you best if you want a roomy minivan that still feels pleasant behind the wheel rather than one chasing the newest tech or premium polish.

With 35.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s enough market activity to reward careful comparison shopping.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many families trust for comfort, spaciousness, and versatile everyday use. That kind of praise usually goes hand in hand with a dependable ownership experience, especially when buyers keep returning to the same model for long trips and routine family duty. The expert assessment also reinforces that sense of durability by describing the Odyssey as simple, useful, and well suited to the demands of daily family life.

Honda’s maintenance-friendly reputation is helped by the model’s straightforward gasoline powertrain and family-hauling mission, which can make long-term ownership easier to predict. For used buyers, the main risk is less about complexity and more about finding a well-kept example that hasn’t been worn down by heavy family use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Odyssey?

At 73.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the van has seen heavy family duty or higher mileage. Pay close attention to brake condition, interior wear, and how well the cabin electronics and driver-assistance features work in real-world use. Because this model is often chosen for hauling people and cargo, condition matters as much as equipment.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup runs from LX to EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite. The base trim is the most stripped-down, while EX-L adds leather upholstery and higher trims bring more convenience and tech. If you want the most complete family setup, the upper trims are the ones to compare closely.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. It is described as responsive and enjoyable to drive, but it does not offer all-wheel drive or an electrified powertrain.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high beams, and a rear-seat reminder. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert require EX or a higher trim.
• Infotainment: Starting with EX, you get an 8-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Touring is required for navigation and HondaLink connected services, including WiFi hotspot access. The rear-seat entertainment system starts on Touring and uses a 10.2-inch ceiling-mounted screen.
• Fuel efficiency: The Odyssey is rated at 22 mpg in combined driving, and the expert test drive returned 22.6 mpg.

Which 2022 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Odyssey is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, Elite.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it is the most basic version of the Odyssey. Choose it only if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the added comfort and convenience features found higher up the range.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. If you want the most useful mix of safety and tech without stretching too far, this is the one to focus on.
• EX-L: This trim adds leather upholstery and a more upscale feel, making it a smart step up if you care about cabin comfort and want a nicer daily experience.
• Touring: This is the trim to consider if you want navigation, HondaLink connected services, the rear-seat entertainment system, CabinWatch, and CabinTalk. It is the family-tech choice.
• Elite: This is the most fully equipped version, adding the premium audio system and wireless charging pad. It suits you if you want the most features and are willing to pay for them.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on LX and require EX or above.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,824 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.68% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,303, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $28,303 sits slightly below last year's $31,687.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim appeal rather than broad market momentum alone. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should hold up better than neglected ones, especially because family vehicles often see heavy use.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey safe?

The 2022 Honda Odyssey earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every trim and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high beams, and a rear-seat reminder. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are reserved for EX and higher trims.

The main caveat is that the system can feel abrupt and less refined than you might want, and the blind-spot warning light placement is awkward. The expert assessment also notes that the brakes can overheat on long downhill grades, which is worth keeping in mind if you drive in hilly areas.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the Odyssey’s enjoyable driving character while carrying over the same family-friendly strengths.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,015, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,303 average.
• It is presented as a freshened model with improved safety, upgraded technology, enhanced utility, and spruced-up styling.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market value story and are comfortable with the 2022’s unchanged formula, this is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Odyssey’s core family appeal.
