Used 2022 Genesis G70 for Sale nearSilver Spring, MD

How much does the 2022 Genesis G70 cost?

Prices have softened 8.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 803 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Genesis G70 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, sleek design, and outstanding performance, and many also highlight the high-quality interior and excellent sound system. In practical terms, that lines up with a car that feels upscale and engaging rather than merely well equipped.

The main trade-offs are the cramped back seat and poor mileage, and the expert notes also point to a lack of confidence in the brakes. Even so, the G70’s refreshed styling, improved infotainment, and added Highway Driving Assist make it a strong fit if you want a distinctive luxury sport sedan with everyday usability.

Good and great deals account for 35.9% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort, quality, and performance that owners seem happy to live with over time.

The expert notes reinforce that impression by describing Genesis as offering long-term warranty protection, along with three years of complimentary connected services and scheduled maintenance. That kind of support can reduce early ownership friction and help you feel more confident about upkeep.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about broad reliability and more about condition-specific wear, especially if the car has been driven hard or maintained inconsistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Genesis G70?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on brake condition, since the expert drive notes raise concerns there. You should also pay close attention to rear-seat and trunk usability if you plan to use the car as a daily driver or family sedan.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.0T and 3.3T model series differ in character, with the 3.3T bringing the stronger performance focus and access to Sport Advanced, Sport Prestige, and Launch Edition packages. The 2.0T can be enhanced with a Prestige Package, while the 3.3T Launch Edition adds richer materials and exclusive wheels. If you want the best value, the 3.3T is the more compelling choice for buyers who care most about performance and equipment.
• Powertrain: The 2.0T uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder with 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the 3.3T uses a twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 with 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional, and the eight-speed automatic is the only transmission.
• Safety package: Every G70 includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a rear-seat reminder, Safe Exit Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. A 360-degree camera system and Blind-Spot View Monitor are available, but the latter are not standard.
• Infotainment: The G70 uses a 10.25-inch touchscreen with quick response, natural voice recognition, over-the-air software updates, navigation, satellite radio, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. CarPlay and Android Auto require a wired connection, not wireless.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.3T is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, and the test loop returned 20.1 mpg.

Which 2022 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Genesis G70 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.0T and 3.3T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0T: This is the entry point, and it gives you the refreshed styling, standard safety tech, and the updated infotainment system at the lowest price. It makes sense if you want the G70’s look and feature set without paying for the stronger engine.
• 3.3T: This is the better-value choice if you want the G70’s core personality to come through. The twin-turbo V6 delivers the stronger performance the car is known for, and the available packages add more of the upscale and sporty equipment that makes the sedan feel special.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Genesis G70?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 803 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,449, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $26,453 sits slightly below last year's $28,874.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum.

Because the model has softened but still attracts strong shopper interest, a well-kept example should remain easier to move than one with visible wear or a rough history. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 safe?

The 2022 G70 earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS, but its headlights are rated Marginal, which keeps it from reaching the higher award tier. It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Genesis equips every G70 with adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a rear-seat reminder, Safe Exit Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. The standard Highway Driving Assist system combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist and works especially well on long drives, though it requires driver resumption after a few seconds in traffic.

The available 360-degree camera system and Blind-Spot View Monitor add useful visibility support, especially in tight parking situations. The main caveat is the headlight performance issue, which is worth keeping in mind if you often drive at night.

Should I buy a 2022 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds refreshed styling, an improved infotainment system, and Highway Driving Assist.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,581, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $26,453 average.
• It offers minor updates while keeping the same fun-to-drive, value-focused formula.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,091, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $26,453 average.
• It carries over the updated design and adds trim variety with the same core tech and powertrain choices.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of freshness, features, and price, the 2022 is the smart default. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 can save you money while preserving much of the same appeal. If you want a newer-feeling example and do not mind paying more, the 2023 is the cleaner step up.
