Used 2022 Genesis G70 for Sale nearNorfolk, VA

How much does the 2022 Genesis G70 cost?

Prices have softened 9.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 811 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Genesis G70 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its comfort, sleek design, and outstanding performance, and many also like the high-quality interior and excellent sound system. In use, that lines up with a compact luxury sport sedan that feels distinctive, well equipped, and rewarding to drive.

The trade-offs are the cramped back seat and poor mileage, and the expert review also points to a small trunk and brakes that don’t fully match the car’s sporty mission. Even so, the overview frames it as a premium sedan that delivers strong value for money and standard advanced safety features, which helps explain why it appeals to shoppers who want luxury without chasing the highest price. Good and great deals account for 34.3% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a car that feels comfortable, well built, and dependable enough to inspire strong owner enthusiasm over time. The expert review also emphasizes Genesis’ long-term warranty protection, plus three years of complimentary connected services and scheduled maintenance, which can help reduce early ownership friction.

That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and wear items, especially because a sporty luxury sedan can be more sensitive to neglect than a mainstream commuter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Genesis G70?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important here because the model’s sporty setup and premium equipment can hide expensive issues if the car has been driven hard or poorly maintained. Focus on overall condition, brake wear, tire condition, and signs that the car’s luxury features and electronics are working as they should.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.0T and 3.3T model series differ in equipment and character, and the 3.3T Launch Edition adds richer materials, exclusive wheels, and the contents of the Sport Prestige package. Base versions are still well equipped, but the higher trims bring the more distinctive luxury presentation and stronger performance hardware.
• Powertrain: The 2.0T uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder with 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the 3.3T uses a twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 with 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is optional, and the eight-speed automatic is the only transmission.
• Safety package: Every G70 includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear-seat reminder, Safe Exit Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. A 360-degree camera system and Blind-Spot View Monitor are available, but the latter are not standard.
• Infotainment: The system uses a 10.25-inch touchscreen with quick response, natural voice recognition, over-the-air software updates, navigation, satellite radio, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. CarPlay and Android Auto require a wired connection, not a wireless one.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.3T is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2022 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Genesis G70 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.0T and 3.3T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0T: This is the value-focused choice if you want the G70’s style, standard safety tech, and luxury feel without paying for the stronger engine. It still gives you the core experience, and it makes the most sense if you care more about price and everyday comfort than maximum speed.
• 3.3T: This is the better pick if you want the G70 at its most rewarding, because the twin-turbo V6 brings much stronger performance and the more upscale, enthusiast-oriented setup. It’s the one to choose if you want the best blend of speed, character, and premium feel.

Every G70 includes a long list of standard safety features, and Highway Driving Assist is standard across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Genesis G70?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 811 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,959, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $25,959 sits slightly below last year's $28,745.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can be helpful if you’re buying now and planning to sell later. If the market stays steady, a lower entry price today can reduce the amount of value you lose over your ownership period.

The G70’s strong owner satisfaction should also help support demand when it’s time to resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 safe?

The 2022 G70 earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS, but its headlights are rated Marginal, which keeps it from reaching the higher award tier.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every G70 comes with adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear-seat reminder, Safe Exit Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. The standard Highway Driving Assist system is a standout because it combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist and works better than many similar systems.

A caveat to keep in mind is that Highway Driving Assist cannot keep the car stopped for more than a few seconds in traffic before you need to resume it manually. The available 360-degree camera system and Blind-Spot View Monitor add useful visibility support, but the headlight rating is the main safety shortcoming to watch.

Should I buy a 2022 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds refreshed styling, an improved infotainment system, and Highway Driving Assist.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,101, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $25,959 average.
• It emphasizes style, value, and driving enjoyment.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,887, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $25,959 average.
• It carries over the updated formula with polished design and user-friendly tech.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of updated styling, standard safety tech, and strong value, the 2022 is the sweet spot. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better budget path; if you want to spend more for a newer carryover, the 2023 remains a solid alternative.
