Used 2022 Genesis G70 for Sale nearCharlotte, NC

How much does the 2022 Genesis G70 cost?

Prices have softened 9.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 796 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used G70s to compare.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Genesis G70 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, sleek design, outstanding performance, high-quality interior, and excellent sound system. In use, that lines up with a compact luxury sport sedan that feels distinctive and well equipped for the money.

The main trade-offs are a cramped back seat and poor mileage, and the expert review also points to a small trunk and brakes that don’t fully match the car’s sporty mission. Even so, the G70 fits you well if you want a premium sedan that emphasizes style and driving enjoyment over maximum practicality.

With 32.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort, quality, and the kind of performance you can count on day to day. Genesis backs that up with long-term warranty protection, Service Valet, and three years of complimentary connected services and scheduled maintenance.

The expert review reinforces that this is a well-rounded luxury sedan rather than a fragile one, and the standard equipment list suggests a car built to be used regularly. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about broad reliability and more about making sure the brakes, back seat, and overall condition still suit your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Genesis G70?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on brake condition, since the expert review flags braking concerns. It also makes sense to check rear-seat and trunk usability carefully, because those are the G70’s most obvious everyday compromises.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.0T and 3.3T lines differ in character and equipment, and the higher-spec Launch Edition adds richer materials, exclusive wheels, and a more bespoke cabin feel. If you want the best value, the better-equipped midrange setup is the one to target.
• Powertrain: The base turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four makes 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 makes 365 hp and 376 lb-ft. Rear-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is optional, and the eight-speed automatic is the only transmission.
• Safety package: Every G70 gets adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear-seat reminder, Safe Exit Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. A 360-degree camera system and Blind-Spot View Monitor are available, and the latter is not standard.
• Infotainment: The system uses a 10.25-inch touchscreen with over-the-air software updates, navigation, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. CarPlay and Android Auto require a wired connection, not wireless.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.3T is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2022 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Genesis G70 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.0T, 3.3T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0T: This is the value-focused choice if you want the G70’s style, standard safety tech, and upscale feel without paying for the V6. It gives you the core experience at the lower entry point.
• 3.3T: This is the one to buy if you care most about performance. The twin-turbo V6 brings much stronger acceleration and the more engaging driving character that defines the G70.

The standard safety package is strong across the lineup, so you don’t need to move up just to get a well-equipped safety suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Genesis G70?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough price softness to create opportunities.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 796 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,723, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $25,723 sits slightly below last year's $28,420.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at a strong price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. The G70’s value proposition still helps support demand, especially because shoppers tend to respond well to its premium feel and strong equipment list.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Genesis G70 safe?

The 2022 G70 earns high marks from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, but its headlights are rated Marginal, which keeps it from earning a Top Safety Pick rating.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Genesis equips every G70 with adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a rear-seat reminder, Safe Exit Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. A 360-degree camera system and Blind-Spot View Monitor are available, and the latter adds camera views to the blind-spot system.

The main caveat is the Marginal headlight result, so you should pay attention to lighting performance if you drive often at night.

Should I buy a 2022 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds refreshed styling, an improved infotainment system, and Highway Driving Assist.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,131, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $25,723 average.
• It offers style, value, and driving enjoyment with a playful performance edge.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,696, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $25,723 average.
• It carries over the updated design with a polished, user-friendly setup.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of updated styling, safety tech, and value, the 2022 is the strongest all-around pick. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the better price-first alternative, while the 2023 makes sense only if you’re comfortable paying more for a newer model-year carryover.
