How much does the 2022 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 11.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,426 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

Yes — the 2022 GMC Yukon XL earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, comfort, and large cargo space, and many also like the loaded features and smooth ride. The model’s long-wheelbase layout makes it especially appealing if you want extra third-row room and more cargo capacity for family duty, towing, or everyday hauling. With 39.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people feel good about living with over time, especially because they describe it as comfortable, powerful, and well equipped. That said, some concerns about motor issues were raised, so reliability confidence is not absolute. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has a clean service history and no signs of powertrain trouble.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 GMC Yukon XL?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a vehicle-by-vehicle review. Put inspection priority on the powertrain, since some owners raised concerns about motor issues. Focus on overall condition too, especially if the SUV has been used for family hauling, towing, or long-distance travel.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 GMC Yukon XL?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the best-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,426 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.84% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,596, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $45,596 sits slightly below last year's $51,718.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Strong demand for a spacious, well-equipped full-size SUV should help, but the recent price decline shows that buyers are still price sensitive.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a large SUV with strong owner satisfaction, a modern feature set, and a price that has moved down from last year, the 2022 is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, nearby model years may be worth comparing, but the 2022 offers a compelling balance of value, space, and buyer appeal.
