Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited?

This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 934 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.37% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,104, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited's resale value?

The current average of $35,104 sits slightly below last year's $39,605.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can work against you if you're planning to sell soon. If you buy at today's average and the market stays soft, your resale value may remain under pressure in the near term. For a future seller, condition and mileage will matter even more when the broader market is trending down.

Should I buy a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.37% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want this truck and you find a clean example at a competitive price, the 2022 is a sensible target because the market gives you some negotiating room. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, history, and asking price.
