How much does the 2022 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices are up 2.03% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 1,690 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2022 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Ford Mustang earns a 4.78/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the performance, handling, and styling, and many also like the manual transmission option and the fun driving experience it delivers. That fits especially well if you want a sporty vehicle with classic character and enough variety to suit different budgets and preferences. With 30.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a car that many drivers feel good about living with over time, especially when it comes to performance and driving enjoyment. The repeated praise for the car’s overall experience suggests you’re looking at a model that many owners feel confident keeping. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is tied to condition and maintenance history, so a careful pre-purchase check matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Ford Mustang?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report so you can confirm accident status, title history, and any major red flags before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the car’s condition, especially signs of wear, modifications, or uneven maintenance. Because this model can be bought in a wide range of configurations, focus on whether the specific car you’re considering matches your expectations for equipment and overall care.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,690 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.03% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 77.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,446, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $34,456 sits slightly above last year's $33,772.

That price movement suggests the market has held up reasonably well for this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A stable-to-rising average price can help support future resale, especially when demand remains broad across trims and body styles. Strong owner satisfaction also helps keep interest steady among used shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.03% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,796, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $34,456 average.
• It blends retro attitude with modern tech and a new Mach 1 trim.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market mix of demand, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the smarter value play and still delivers the Mustang’s core appeal.
