Is the 2022 Dodge Durango a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Dodge Durango earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2022 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in everyday use, with owners highlighting its smooth ride and strong overall ownership experience. The model’s long-running design and the mention of earlier-generation reliability concerns mean you should still pay close attention to maintenance records and inspection results. For used buyers, that makes condition and service history especially important if you want to reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Dodge Durango?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a vehicle history report first, then confirm that the listing’s condition matches the seller’s description. A pre-purchase inspection is especially useful here because maintenance history matters on a long-running model like this. Focus on signs of careful ownership, since a clean record and strong upkeep can make a bigger difference than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Dodge Durango?

This is a moderate market for buyers, so you can shop selectively without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,727 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.51% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,760, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $29,760 sits slightly below last year's $32,529.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to sell soon. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain service records, you can help protect its value better than the broader market trend alone might suggest. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,254, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,760 average.
• It adds Tow N Go and Hellcat performance options.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,182, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $29,760 average.
• It adds standard heated front seats and the Hellcat returns.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want a strong mix of value, owner satisfaction, and available inventory. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the better budget path; if you want newer features and are willing to pay more, the 2023 is the upgrade route.
