Used 2022 Dodge Charger for Sale nearFort Myers, FL

How much does the 2022 Dodge Charger cost?

Prices are up 3.20% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 4,151 listings available, which suggests you should have a solid range of choices.

Is the 2022 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — 4.6/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and the expert score is 8.00/10. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners repeatedly praise its powerful performance, spacious interior, and enjoyable handling. The Charger also stands out for its broad appeal as a practical four-door muscle car, especially if you want strong acceleration without giving up everyday usability.

The trade-offs are familiar: the cabin feels dated, and some buyers may find the interior quality and comfort don’t match the price. Even so, the market still shows 30.4% good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a car that many drivers feel good about living with over time, especially because of its strong performance and everyday usability. The expert test-drive notes also emphasize easy-to-use technology, which can make ownership feel less frustrating than in more complicated modern cars.

That said, the Charger’s age shows in areas like cabin quality and fuel economy, so long-term ownership risk is more about wear, upkeep, and condition than outright mechanical novelty.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Dodge Charger?

At 70.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a close inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and signs of prior repair. Because the Charger’s cabin and backup camera are known weak points, it’s smart to check interior wear, screen clarity, and how well the electronics work in daily use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SXT comes with a V6 engine, power-adjustable front seats, rear parking sensors, cloth upholstery, a six-speaker stereo, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The GT adds a rear spoiler, sport-tuned suspension, performance tires, an Alpine premium stereo, navigation, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen. The R/T is the least expensive V8 model, while the R/T Scat Pack adds a larger V8, launch control, a high-performance suspension, a limited-slip rear differential, Brembo brakes, a heated steering wheel, and driver’s seat memory. The Hellcat, Redeye, and Jailbreak bring supercharged V8 power and additional performance hardware.
• Powertrain: The V6 makes 292 horsepower in base form, with 300 hp in AWD versions. The R/T uses a 5.7-liter V8, the Scat Pack uses a 6.4-liter V8, and the Hellcat, Redeye, and Jailbreak use supercharged 6.2-liter V8s with escalating output. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and AWD is available on V6 trims.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes a backup camera and rear parking sensors. Available driver-assistance features include forward-collision avoidance, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, rain-sensing wipers, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: The base setup uses a 7-inch touchscreen, while an 8.4-inch screen is optional on the SXT and standard on the rest of the lineup. Both support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 with rear-wheel drive returns 19 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined. The AWD V6 returns 18 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined. The 5.7-liter V8 returns 16 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined. The 6.4-liter V8 returns 15 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined. The supercharged 6.2-liter V8 in the Redeye and Jailbreak returns 12 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 15 mpg combined.

Which 2022 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2022 Dodge Charger is offered in 7 trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, Hellcat, Redeye, and Jailbreak.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Charger’s core V6 setup, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the basic convenience features you need. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup, but it also leaves you with the most obvious feature gaps.
• GT: This is the better-value V6 choice because it adds sportier hardware, a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, and an upgraded stereo while keeping the same basic engine family. If you want the best balance of price and equipment, this is the trim to focus on.
• R/T: This is the first V8 trim, so it’s the move if you care more about engine character than feature count. It follows the GT’s general equipment pattern while adding the V8 experience that defines the Charger’s appeal.
• R/T Scat Pack: This is the sweet spot for buyers who want serious performance without jumping into the highest-priced supercharged models. It adds the bigger V8, launch control, Brembo brakes, and a high-performance suspension, making it the most compelling enthusiast choice for many shoppers.
• Hellcat: This is the full-throttle performance model, with supercharged V8 power, upgraded brakes, and the Widebody setup that improves composure and cornering. It suits you if outright speed is the priority.
• Redeye: This is the more extreme Hellcat variant, with even more power and improved cooling. It’s for buyers who want the most aggressive factory tune short of the top special edition.
• Jailbreak: This is the most powerful version mentioned here, with the hottest supercharged V8 tune. It’s the one to choose if you want maximum bragging rights and don’t mind paying for them.

The safety content also notes that the Charger’s standard equipment is limited to a backup camera and rear parking sensors, with more advanced driver-assistance features reserved for options.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Dodge Charger?

This looks like a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,151 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.20% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 70.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,808, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $27,903 sits slightly above last year's $27,037.

That upward move suggests the Charger is holding demand better than a flat or declining market would. For a future seller, that’s a useful sign that buyers still value the model’s performance image and broad appeal.

The current price range also gives you a sense of where the market is comfortable today, which can help you set a realistic asking price later. If the car stays desirable and well-kept, that should support resale strength.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Dodge Charger safe?

The Charger earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

This is where the Charger shows its age: standard safety equipment is limited to a backup camera and rear parking sensors, and the backup camera image is described as grainy and pixelated. Available driver-assistance features include forward-collision avoidance, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, rain-sensing wipers, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

That means you should pay close attention to which safety options are actually installed on any used example you’re considering. If safety tech matters to you, a well-equipped trim or option package is worth prioritizing.

Should I buy a 2022 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.20% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It blends old-school muscle-car character with easy-to-use technology and surprising Widebody cornering ability.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,482, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $27,903 average.
• It offers budget-friendly horsepower and roomy daily-driver practicality.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,095, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $27,903 average.
• It adds final-year appeal with bold personality and strong straight-line performance.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, availability, and classic Charger character, the 2022 is the primary target. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 can save you money while keeping much of the same appeal.
