Used 2022 Chevrolet Trax for Sale nearBaton Rouge, LA

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Trax cost?

Prices have softened 12.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 641 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and conditions.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year.

The 2022 Trax is presented as a compact, budget-friendly subcompact SUV that emphasizes maneuverability and affordability over flash. It offers the higher seating position and extra space many shoppers want from an SUV, while also staying straightforward and easy to live with. For you, that makes it a sensible fit if you want practical daily transportation rather than a more powerful or upscale crossover.

33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Trax is described as a familiar value play with a straightforward layout and practical ownership appeal. The overview also notes that Chevrolet had already added smartphone integration and that available safety equipment had grown over time, which helps the model feel more usable in everyday driving. Even so, the first-generation Trax is also described as having limitations, including sparse early safety features and faster depreciation than some rivals.

For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is less about complexity and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been cared for well and priced appropriately.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Trax?

At 73.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can catch signs of prior damage or deferred maintenance. Focus on overall condition, because a budget-friendly SUV only stays budget-friendly if the example you buy has been maintained and repaired properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Trax?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 641 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.94% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,886, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $15,886 sits slightly below last year's $18,248.

That price movement suggests the Trax has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be a double-edged sword for future resale. If you buy at the right price, you may limit how much value is left to lose. If you overpay, though, the softer market trend could make it harder to recover your money later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $13,193, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $15,886 average.
• It emphasizes easy-to-use tech and simple daily usability.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your top priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in clean condition and can live with its compromises.
