Used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV for Sale nearLexington, KY

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 220 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

It fits you well if you want a practical, mainstream EV with a bolder new look, standard DC fast charging, a spacious cabin, and strong everyday usability. The trade-offs are a more conventional driving character and inconvenient control placement, which can make the cabin less intuitive than its strengths suggest.

Good and great deals make up 30.9% of listings, so there is still room to shop carefully for value.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Bolt EV is presented as a practical, mainstream electric car with a usable 259-mile range and standard DC fast charging, both of which support everyday dependability. Its electric powertrain is described as quick and responsive at low speeds, and the standard charging setup makes it easier to live with than many earlier EVs.

The battery and electric drive components are backed by an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty, which helps reduce long-term ownership risk for used buyers.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV with a known recall history. Focus on overall condition, charging behavior, and whether the car has been used in a way that matches your daily driving needs. If possible, confirm how the battery has been charged over time and whether the car has any unresolved service campaigns.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 1LT includes 17-inch aluminum wheels, heated and power-adjustable side mirrors, solar-absorbing glass, manual front seats, a 60/40 split-fold rear seat, automatic climate control, and a 10.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. The 2LT adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and leather seating, so it suits you better if you want a more comfortable and upscale cabin.
• Powertrain: The Bolt EV uses a single electric motor with front-wheel drive and 200 horsepower. It delivers quick low-end acceleration, enough passing power for highway use, and a Sport mode that sharpens throttle response.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. The 1LT can add the Driver Confidence Package, which brings rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-change alert with side blind zone alert.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, plus a more conventional Chevrolet Infotainment System 3 layout. The system is intuitive, but some controls sit awkwardly to the left of the screen.
• Range & charging: The Bolt EV carries a 65-kilowatt-hour battery pack and standard DC fast charging. Chevy says it can add up to 90 miles of range in 30 minutes, and Level 2 charging adds about 20 miles of range per hour.
• Battery health: For a used EV, you should check battery state-of-health, ask how often the car was charged at home versus on DC fast chargers, and confirm how much of the battery warranty remains. That helps you judge real-world range and long-term ownership risk.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV is offered in 2 trim levels: 1LT and 2LT.

Here's the short version:

• 1LT: This is the value choice if you want the Bolt EV’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, and the standard EV hardware that makes the car appealing in the first place.
• 2LT: Choose this if you want a more comfortable daily driver. It adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, leather seating, and can be paired with more convenience features, so it suits you best if you want the nicer cabin without moving to a different EV.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and the Driver Confidence Package is available on the 1LT.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 220 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,244, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV's resale value?

The current average of $18,931 sits slightly below last year's $19,077.

That small decline suggests the Bolt EV has been holding value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply. For you as a future seller, that usually means the market is predictable, which can make timing less stressful. It also helps that the model has strong value positioning and broad everyday appeal among used-EV shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV safe?

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist, which includes automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. The 1LT can add the Driver Confidence Package with rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-change alert with side blind zone alert.

One important caveat is the recall history tied to rare manufacturing defects that increased the risk of fire, so you should verify that any used example has had all applicable repairs completed.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 update adds standard DC fast charging and a refreshed, more futuristic design.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $16,963, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $18,931 average.
• It emphasizes affordable daily commuting with strong range and a spacious cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the better-rounded used Bolt EV, the 2022 is the stronger pick because it adds standard fast charging and a more modern feel. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you mainly want an efficient EV commuter.
