The current average of $18,697 sits slightly below last year's $19,439.

That suggests the market has eased a bit, which can matter if you're planning to sell in the future. A softer price environment may limit upside in the short term, but it can also make the vehicle more approachable for buyers now. If demand stays steady, a well-kept example should still hold reasonable appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Buick Encore or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, available inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the primary year to focus on. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and compare them carefully against other nearby model years before you decide.
