Accident-free inventory is solid at 79% — always verify the vehicle history report.

The current average of $18,856 sits slightly below last year's $19,479.

That suggests the market has eased a bit, which can matter if you're thinking about future trade-in value. A softer price environment can limit short-term appreciation, but it can also make your purchase entry point more attractive. If you buy well now, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to the prior year's average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Buick Encore or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, available inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the primary year to target. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and compare them carefully against other nearby model years before you commit.
