How much does the 2022 BMW X5 cost?

There are 2,552 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 BMW X5 a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, and the feedback points to comfort, performance, and a luxurious feel as the biggest strengths. You also see repeated praise for the smooth ride, strong engine, and high-quality interior, which fits a luxury midsize SUV that’s meant to feel rewarding in daily driving. For you, that means the X5 makes the most sense if you want a refined family SUV with upscale road manners and strong overall appeal. With 38.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 BMW X5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that the X5 feels dependable in everyday use, with praise for its comfort, smooth ride, and strong engine performance. That kind of consistent satisfaction suggests you’re looking at a model that many owners feel confident living with over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic satisfaction and more about keeping an eye on condition and maintenance costs as the vehicle ages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 BMW X5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still review the history report carefully and confirm there are no hidden accident or title issues. Put inspection priority on the vehicle’s condition, especially signs of wear that could affect comfort, electronics, or overall ownership costs. Because this is a premium SUV, it’s smart to focus on how well the cabin, features, and mechanical systems have been maintained rather than just the mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 BMW X5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop around but still enough variation to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,552 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.36% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,180, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 BMW X5's resale value?

The current average of $35,180 sits slightly below last year's $41,077.

That drop suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price more competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Strong condition and a clean history should matter even more if you want to protect value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 BMW X5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,868, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $35,180 average.
• It offers a family-friendly blend of utility and refined interior space.

The 2022 is the better pick if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the more budget-friendly path and still gives you much of the X5’s core appeal.
