Used Acura MDX for Sale nearMinneapolis, MN

How much does the Acura MDX cost in today's market?

Used Acura MDX prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Acura MDX's current nationwide average price is $32,697, and its nationwide average price reached a low of $28,595 over the past year. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the Acura MDX is a strong used pick if you want a three-row luxury SUV that blends comfort, practicality, and a polished driving feel.

The all-generations owner rating is 4.6/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise the MDX for its spacious cabin, smooth ride, and comfortable everyday character. Across the model line, buyers also tend to value its reliability and family-friendly usefulness, along with the way it balances luxury with practicality.

Expert reviews rate the 2022 and 2019 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs that show up in recent expert reviews are the cramped third row, poor fuel economy, and infotainment complaints on earlier versions. For used shoppers, that means the MDX is strongest when you prioritize comfort, features, and overall versatility over maximum efficiency or the roomiest third row.

36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Acura MDX models reliable?

Owners and experts consistently point to the MDX’s comfortable ride, strong family usefulness, and broad appeal as key strengths. Across multiple years, reviews also highlight its spacious cabin, solid performance, and reassuring safety focus.

• Owners rate the Acura MDX between 3.5 and 5 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership picture looks encouraging if you choose carefully and verify condition, service history, and accident history before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used Acura MDX?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is solid at 78.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

Older model years carry meaningfully higher accident rates, so always verify the vehicle history report on pre-2022 models.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: AcuraWatch
• Infotainment: a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Amazon Alexa Built-in and Google Built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto
• Fuel efficiency: While the official EPA fuel economy estimate is 21 mpg combined, we observed 17.9 mpg on our SoCal evaluation loop.

Which Acura MDX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Acura MDX offers these trims:

• MDX: The base model gives you the core MDX formula with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation display, AcuraWatch driver aids, and front-wheel drive, making it the best-value starting point for shoppers who want the essentials.
• Technology: This trim adds more equipment and can be paired with all-wheel drive, making it a smart step up if you want extra convenience and traction flexibility.
• A-Spec: This version adds blacked-out wheels and exterior trim, subtle styling changes, and bolder interior treatments with leather and artificial suede for a sportier look.
• Advance: This trim brings a more upscale feel and is aimed at buyers who want a richer feature set and more comfort-focused equipment.
• A-Spec Advance: This is the best-value trim for shoppers who want the A-Spec styling with more premium interior treatment and added equipment.
• Type S Advance: This top version adds the more powerful turbocharged engine, adaptive air suspension, and other performance upgrades for buyers who want the most capability and the strongest driving character.

What Acura MDX do most buyers choose?

The Acura MDX years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

Those higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare and a wider range of prices and deal opportunities. They also sit close enough to the newest generation to feel current while still offering used-car value.

What is the Acura MDX's resale value?

The table shows broad downward movement across every listed model year, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want to benefit from lower prices. Several newer years are falling by double digits, while older years are also moving down at a slower pace. That creates a market where recent models are becoming more approachable without older examples suddenly spiking in value.

The 2016, 2018, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

For the safest used buy, the 2014 and 2016 models both post the highest confirmed score of 10/10.

Should I buy a used Acura MDX now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −10.76% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −9.51%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 38.3% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 37.6%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $47,305. The Acura MDX offers a comfortable cabin, a smooth ride, and a well-rounded family-friendly character.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Most MDX models have a 3.5-liter V6 engine under their hoods. It generates 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque, and pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and Acura’s Integrated Dynamics System driving modes, including Snow, Comfort, Normal, and Sport.
• Tech: A 12.3-inch digital instrumentation display pairs with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and it offers wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Safety: Acura bundles most of the MDX’s driver aids into a package called AcuraWatch, and blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high-beam headlights are also standard.
• Starting price: Prices range from $53,150 to $77,200, including the $1,350 destination charge.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
