Is the 2022 Audi A6 a good car?

The 2022 Audi A6 sits in the middle of the model’s fifth generation, and it brings a modern feel with a longer, wider body, a new chassis, standard quattro all-wheel drive, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual screens, lots of connectivity, and semi-autonomous capability. That combination makes it appealing if you want a premium midsize sedan that feels up to date while still keeping Audi’s understated character.

It also stands out for its broad equipment list and available performance, with a base turbocharged four-cylinder and an available turbocharged V6, plus features such as LED lighting, tri-zone climate control, and a wide range of driver-assistance and comfort options. The tradeoff is that it is unlikely to be a bargain, and the source also points to conservative styling, disappointing fuel economy, a front-wheel-drive bias, and a poorly executed infotainment system.

With 38.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively if you want the right mix of price and equipment.

Is the 2022 Audi A6 reliable?

The 2022 Audi A6 is presented as a well-equipped, technology-forward luxury sedan with standard all-wheel drive and a broad feature set, which supports its appeal for shoppers who want a polished daily driver. Its modern chassis and extensive equipment list help it feel current and substantial.

At the same time, the source also highlights drawbacks such as disappointing fuel economy and a poorly executed infotainment system, so long-term ownership risk is more about living with those compromises than expecting a simple, low-maintenance experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Audi A6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and confirm that the car’s equipment and condition match the listing. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the infotainment system, driver-assistance features, and overall interior and exterior condition, since those are the kinds of areas that can affect your ownership experience most.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Audi A6?

This looks like a moderate market where you can be selective, especially if you focus on well-priced examples with clean history and the right options.

• Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 443 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.46% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,228, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Audi A6's resale value?

The current average of $29,242 sits slightly below last year's $37,714.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you can still protect value, but the recent decline means future resale will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and equipment.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi A6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.46% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2022 Audi A6 is the right path if you want a modern, well-equipped luxury sedan with standard all-wheel drive and a strong technology roster. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a similar ownership experience, but the 2022 stands out when you can find a clean, well-priced example with the features you want.
