The overview describes it as a stylish luxury coupe family model with a premium-feeling cabin, multiple body styles, and a polished all-wheel-drive setup that works well for everyday use. It also balances performance and equipment with standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen, while still leaning more toward comfort and style than outright sportiness. 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Audi A5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a well-rounded luxury car with a premium cabin, standard all-wheel drive, and a modernized turbocharged four-cylinder engine that was updated for the 2021 model year and carried into 2022. Its strengths are more about refinement, usability, and equipment than mechanical drama, which is often a good sign for used-car ownership. For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is less about the car’s core concept and more about making sure you choose one that has been maintained properly and hasn’t been worn down by luxury-car repair costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Audi A5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report so you can confirm the car’s accident record and ownership trail before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and body condition, since the A5 is positioned as a premium car and you want to make sure the interior and features still feel that way. Pay close attention to overall condition and how the car presents in person, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings at similar prices.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Audi A5?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 156 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.45% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,060, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Audi A5's resale value?

The current average of $30,060 sits slightly below last year's $33,947.

That price movement suggests the model has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy at the right point in the range, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. The A5’s premium image and broad appeal help support demand, but resale will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi A5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want the current-year balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar car offers a lower entry point, but the 2022 already looks like a sensible place to shop if you want a premium used A5 with decent market availability.
