Is the 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview positions it as a compact luxury sports sedan with stylish design, fun-to-drive character, and strong performance, so it fits you best if you want a more engaging alternative to a typical luxury commuter. It also benefits from the broader 2020 updates, including a standard 8.8-inch infotainment touchscreen, improved software reliability, and added safety equipment. With 34.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview says later model years tend to be more reliable, and it specifically points used shoppers toward post-2020 examples. It also notes improved software reliability as part of the broader updates that arrived in 2020, which is a helpful sign if you want a newer Giulia with fewer early-model compromises. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a poorly maintained example, so condition and service history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Put inspection priority on maintenance records, signs of prior damage, and how well the car has been cared for overall. Focus on condition closely, because a well-maintained example is especially important with a model that can be more sensitive to neglect.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 258 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,902, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia's resale value?

The current average of $24,257 sits slightly below last year's $25,327.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale value may continue to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car was maintained. Because this model has a devoted following, a clean, well-kept example should still attract interest more easily than a neglected one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $20,083, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $24,257 average.
• It emphasizes performance-first driving with an attractive cabin.

The bottom line:
You should lean toward the 2022 if you want the stronger all-around used-buying case, especially with its updated features and better market availability. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the better value path, but you give up some of the newer-model advantages that make the 2022 easier to recommend.
