Used 2022 Acura TLX for Sale nearPhiladelphia, PA

How much does the 2022 Acura TLX cost?

Prices are up 2.29% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 787 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Acura TLX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The TLX stands out as one of the market’s best alternatives to a German compact luxury sedan, with strong road presence, careful attention to detail, and genuine performance capability. It also brings stylish design, premium interior materials, and great handling, which gives it a more distinctive personality than many shoppers may expect from the brand.

The trade-offs are clear: cargo space is limited and the back seat is cramped, and the touchpad interface takes some getting used to. If you want a premium-feeling sedan that prioritizes driving enjoyment and upscale presentation over maximum practicality, the TLX fits that brief well.

Good and great deals account for 33.7% of listings, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The TLX is described as a good value for what Acura has delivered, with a smooth, hard-pulling turbocharged engine and a 10-speed automatic that shifts quickly and chooses the right gear well. Acura’s powertrain tuning and the car’s balanced chassis point to a sedan built to deliver consistent performance over time.

The TLX also includes standard features that support everyday ownership confidence, including AcuraWatch driver assistance, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, and traffic-sign recognition. The standard all-season tire setup on regular models also helps keep the car more usable in daily driving.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the TLX’s premium hardware and packaging can make repairs and upkeep more expensive than mainstream alternatives.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Acura TLX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a car with optional equipment. Focus on interior condition, rear-seat usability, and whether the infotainment setup feels intuitive enough for your daily routine.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TLX has a wide, upscale stance, premium interior materials, and strong design detail even in lower trims. Base trims miss some of the richer equipment found higher up, while upper trims add features like the Advance package’s thin LED lighting accents and more luxury-oriented touches.
• Powertrain: The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine makes 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. SH-AWD is available for buyers who want sharper handling and more rear-axle torque control.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch comes standard and includes lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and steering assistance on marked highways. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are included on the Technology Package and higher trims.
• Infotainment: The TLX uses a widescreen infotainment display, but it is not a touchscreen. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM, quick voice recognition, and an ELS Studio audio system with 17 speakers are included, while the head-up display is limited to the Advance Package.
• Fuel efficiency: The regular TLX with SH-AWD is rated at 21 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined, while the FWD version reaches 21 mpg city, 31 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined.

Which 2022 Acura TLX trim should I buy?

The 2022 Acura TLX is offered in 4 trim levels: Technology Package, Advance Package, A-Spec, Type S.

Here's the short version:

• Technology Package: This is the best-value trim if you want the core luxury and tech experience without stretching to the pricier versions. It adds useful safety and convenience upgrades, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors.
• Advance Package: This is the trim to choose if you want the most comfort-focused setup. It adds the head-up display, 360-degree cameras, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel, making it the most complete daily-driver choice.
• A-Spec: This trim is for you if style matters most. It brings much of the extra visual flair, including blackout window trim, and gives the TLX a more aggressive look.
• Type S: This is the performance-oriented choice, with the most hardware and the most dramatic presence. It adds the strongest engine, more aggressive exterior details, and the most track-capable setup in the lineup.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are not standard on every trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Acura TLX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 787 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.29% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 77.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,486, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $32,300 sits slightly above last year's $31,576.

That upward move suggests the TLX has held demand well enough to support pricing. For a future seller, that can be a positive sign if you buy carefully and keep the car in strong condition.

The year’s price range also shows that buyers are still willing to pay near the upper end for the right example, which helps preserve resale strength. If you maintain the car well and avoid accident history, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX safe?

The 2022 Acura TLX is rated a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and earns a five-star overall score from NHTSA, with four stars in the frontal passenger-side test and five stars in the other crash tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch comes standard and includes lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and steering assistance on marked highways. Standard knee airbags for both driver and passenger, plus a unique passenger airbag design, add to the TLX’s safety package.

Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are included on the Technology Package and higher trims. The main caveat is that some useful driver-assistance features are not standard on every version.

Should I buy a 2022 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.29% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the TLX’s road presence, careful attention to detail, and genuine performance capability.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,921, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $32,300 average.
• It offers a new platform and fresh powertrain choices.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,444, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $32,300 average.
• It emphasizes style, comfort, and a sporty feel.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want the strongest mix of style, performance, and safety in this price band. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense only if you want to spend more for a newer model-year alternative.
