Used 2022 Acura TLX for Sale nearMinneapolis, MN

How much does the 2022 Acura TLX cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 767 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Acura TLX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It stands out as one of the market’s best alternatives to a German compact luxury sedan, with strong road presence, careful attention to detail, and genuine performance capability. It also combines sharp handling, stylish design, and premium interior materials, which gives it a more distinctive personality than many shoppers expect from the brand.

The trade-offs are clear: cargo space is limited, the back seat is cramped, and the touchpad interface takes some getting used to. If you want a premium-feeling sedan that prioritizes driving enjoyment and style over maximum practicality, the TLX fits that brief well.

Good and great deals account for 31.9% of listings, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The TLX is described as a well-executed premium sedan with careful attention to detail, and its powertrain is presented as smooth, strong, and backed by Honda’s long-running expertise. The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is said to pull hard and shift quickly through the 10-speed automatic, while the SH-AWD system is highlighted for its ability to vary torque instantly and improve stability and handling precision.

The cost-effectiveness notes also frame the TLX as a good value relative to many luxury rivals, which matters when you’re thinking about ownership over time. For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is less about basic competence and more about choosing the right trim and condition so you avoid paying for features or performance you may not need.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Acura TLX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim car with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the tech and driver-assistance features work as intended, since those are the kinds of items that can affect your ownership experience most.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TLX has a wide, upscale stance, and the Type S adds exclusive Tiger Eye Pearl paint, black exterior accents, four exhaust pipes, and 20-inch Y-spoke wheels. The A-Spec brings much of the extra flair, while the Advance package adds a more refined cabin look with thin LED strips and light matte wood. Base trims miss some of that visual drama and premium ambiance.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.0-liter turbocharged engine makes 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque and pairs with a 10-speed automatic. FWD is standard, and SH-AWD is available for sharper handling; the Type S uses a 3.0-liter turbo V6 with 355 hp and 354 lb-ft.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch comes standard and includes lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and semi-automated highway steering on marked roads. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are included on the Technology Package and higher trims.
• Infotainment: The TLX uses a widescreen infotainment setup with quick, simple operation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM, voice recognition, and 12-way heated front seats. The head-up display is available only with the Advance Package, and the Type S does not get it.
• Fuel efficiency: The regular TLX with SH-AWD is rated at 21/29/24 mpg, and FWD is as high as 21/31/25 mpg. The Type S returns 19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined on summer tires, with a 1-mpg highway gain on all-seasons.

Which 2022 Acura TLX trim should I buy?

The 2022 Acura TLX is offered in 4 trim levels: TLX, Technology Package, Advance Package, Type S.

Here's the short version:

• TLX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core TLX experience with the standard turbocharged engine, AcuraWatch, and the car’s strong chassis and styling. If you want the best-value way into the model, this is the trim to start with.
• Technology Package: This is the smart upgrade if you want more everyday convenience and safety tech, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors. It adds meaningful usability without pushing you into the highest price tier.
• Advance Package: This is the comfort-and-convenience choice, with the head-up display, 360-degree cameras, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. If you want the most polished daily-driver setup, this is the trim to target.
• Type S: This is the performance-focused choice, with the 3.0-liter turbo V6, SH-AWD, adaptive dampers, Brembo front brakes, and the most aggressive exterior treatment. It suits you best if driving enjoyment matters more than value.

Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are included on the Technology Package and all higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Acura TLX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 767 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,474, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $32,107 sits slightly above last year's $31,846.

That small increase suggests the TLX has held its value fairly well in the near term. For a future seller, that kind of stability is helpful because it points to steady buyer interest rather than a model that is sliding quickly in price.

The year-round range also gives you a useful benchmark for timing your sale. If market conditions stay this consistent, a well-kept TLX should remain relatively easy to price competitively without needing a steep discount.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX safe?

The 2022 Acura TLX earns Top Safety Pick+ from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, with four-star ratings in the frontal passenger-side test and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch comes standard and includes lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. Knee airbags for the driver and passenger are standard, along with a passenger airbag designed to better reduce head injuries.

A key caveat is that blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are not standard on every trim; they’re included on the Technology Package and higher. The TLX’s IIHS result is strong overall, but the frontal passenger-side four-star NHTSA result is worth noting if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2022 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the TLX’s road presence, sharp handling, and premium feel without changes for the year.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,119, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $32,107 average.
• It offers a new platform, new exterior and interior, and multiple powertrain choices.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,928, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $32,107 average.
• It emphasizes style, comfort, and driving enjoyment with a comfortable ride.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of value, safety, and the current TLX formula, the 2022 is the cleanest choice. If price matters most, the 2021 is the better entry point; if you want to spend more for a newer-year alternative, the 2023 is the next step up.
