Used 2022 Acura TLX for Sale nearLafayette, LA

How much does the 2022 Acura TLX cost?

Prices are up 1.81% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 792 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Acura TLX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The TLX stands out as one of the market’s best alternatives to a German compact luxury sedan, with road presence, intense attention to detail, and genuine performance capability. It’s especially appealing if you want a luxury sedan that feels distinctive without chasing the most expensive names in the segment.

The main trade-offs are limited cargo space, a cramped back seat, and a touchpad interface that takes some getting used to. Even so, the car’s great handling, stylish design, and premium interior materials make it a strong fit if you value driving character and upscale presentation.

Good and great deals account for 31.4% of listings, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The TLX’s appeal is reinforced by its smooth, hard-pulling turbocharged engine and quick-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. Acura’s powertrain tuning gives it a polished feel, and the chassis is described as balanced and predictable, especially when equipped with SH-AWD.

The expert notes also point to strong everyday usability from the drivetrain, with minimal turbo lag and confident power delivery. On the cost side, Acura positions the TLX as a reasonable premium choice versus many rivals, which helps support ownership confidence.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the car’s premium hardware and tech-heavy features can make condition and maintenance history especially important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Acura TLX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example. Focus on interior condition, rear-seat space, cargo-area wear, and whether the touchpad-based interface feels acceptable to you in daily use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TLX has a wide, long stance, and the Type S adds exclusive visual cues such as Tiger Eye Pearl paint, black exterior accents, and four fat exhaust pipes. The A-Spec brings much of the extra flair, while lower trims keep a cleaner look.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four makes 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic. SH-AWD is available, and the Type S uses a 3.0-liter turbo V6 with 355 hp and 354 lb-ft.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch comes standard and includes lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and semi-automated highway steering. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are included on the Technology Package and higher trims.
• Infotainment: The TLX uses a widescreen infotainment display, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, quick voice recognition, and an ELS Studio audio system with 17 speakers. The head-up display is available only on the Advance Package, not the Type S.
• Fuel efficiency: The regular TLX with SH-AWD is rated at 21/29/24 mpg, and as high as 21/31/25 mpg in FWD. The Type S is rated at 19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined on summer tires, with a 1-mpg highway gain on all-seasons.

Which 2022 Acura TLX trim should I buy?

The 2022 Acura TLX is offered in 4 trim levels: Technology Package, Advance Package, A-Spec, Type S.

Here's the short version:

• Technology Package: This is the trim that adds important everyday upgrades, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors. It’s the best-value choice if you want the strongest mix of equipment and price-conscious shopping.
• Advance Package: This trim adds the head-up display, 360-degree cameras, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. It suits you best if comfort and convenience matter more than sportier styling.
• A-Spec: This trim is the style play, with blackout window trim and much of the extra visual flair that makes the TLX look more aggressive. Choose it if you want the sportiest appearance without stepping all the way up to the Type S.
• Type S: This is the performance-focused trim, with the 3.0-liter turbo V6, SH-AWD, adaptive dampers, Brembo front brakes, and an active exhaust. It’s the right pick if you want the most capable and most engaging TLX.

Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are included on the Technology Package and all higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Acura TLX?

This looks like a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 792 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.81% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 77.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,511, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $32,798 sits slightly above last year's $32,216.

That upward move suggests the TLX is holding demand well enough to support pricing. For a future seller, that’s a useful sign that the market still values this model year’s mix of style, performance, and premium feel.

The year-round range also gives you a sense of where buyers may land if the car is priced aggressively or if condition is weaker than average. If you buy well and keep the car in strong shape, you should have a reasonable path to a competitive resale later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX safe?

The 2022 Acura TLX earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in the frontal passenger-side test and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch comes standard and includes lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and semi-automated highway steering. Standard safety hardware also includes knee airbags for the driver and passenger, plus a passenger airbag designed to better reduce head injuries.

Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are included on the Technology Package and all higher trims. The main caveat is that the NHTSA frontal passenger-side result trails the rest of the crash-test performance.

Should I buy a 2022 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.81% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 carries forward Acura’s design renaissance with road presence, attention to detail, and strong performance.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,117, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $32,798 average.
• It introduces a new platform, exterior, interior, and powertrain choices.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $35,118, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $32,798 average.
• It emphasizes style, driving enjoyment, and comfort with a more balanced luxury-sports-sedan feel.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right path if you want the strongest blend of style, safety, and performance in this price band. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense if you’re willing to pay more for a newer-feeling take on the same formula.
