Used 2022 Acura TLX for Sale nearColumbia, SC

How much does the 2022 Acura TLX cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 793 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare on price and condition.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and an expert rating of 7.5/10, the 2022 Acura TLX looks like a strong pick if you want a premium sedan with personality. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The TLX stands out as one of the market’s best alternatives to a German compact luxury sedan, with strong road presence, careful attention to detail, and genuine performance capability. It also brings sharp handling, stylish design, and premium interior materials, which help it feel more distinctive than many shoppers may expect from Acura.

The trade-offs are clear: cargo space is limited, the back seat is cramped, and the touchpad interface takes some getting used to. If you value driving enjoyment and a more upscale feel over maximum practicality, the TLX fits that use case well.

29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The TLX is described as a well-executed premium sedan with strong attention to detail, and its powertrain is presented as smooth, responsive, and backed by Honda’s long-running engineering expertise. The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine pulls hard, the 10-speed automatic shifts quickly, and the chassis is tuned to feel balanced and predictable.

The performance setup also points to durability-minded engineering, with a sophisticated suspension and available SH-AWD system designed to improve stability and handling precision. On the ownership side, the model is positioned as a reasonable premium choice rather than an overcomplicated one.

If you buy used, your biggest long-term risk is choosing a neglected example with worn tires, brake wear, or deferred maintenance from harder driving.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Acura TLX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been driven hard or modified. Focus on cabin condition, tire wear, brake condition, and whether the technology and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TLX has a wide, upscale stance and a carefully detailed cabin, but lower trims miss some of the richer equipment found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine makes 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic; SH-AWD is available for added handling precision.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch comes standard and includes lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and semi-automated highway steering; blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are included on the Technology Package and higher trims.
• Infotainment: The TLX uses a widescreen display, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, quick voice recognition, and an available head-up display on the Advance Package; some features are restricted to higher trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The regular TLX with SH-AWD is rated at 21/29/24, and the FWD version is as high as 21/31/25.

Which 2022 Acura TLX trim should I buy?

The 2022 Acura TLX is offered in 4 trim levels: Technology Package, Advance Package, A-Spec, Type S.

Here's the short version:

• Technology Package: This is the trim that adds a more complete everyday luxury setup, including the AcuraWatch suite, the linked climate-control and navigation functions, and the extra driver-assistance hardware that many shoppers will want. It is the best-value choice if you want the TLX’s core strengths without stretching to the priciest versions.
• Advance Package: This trim is the one to target if you want the most comfort and convenience features, including the head-up display, 360-degree cameras, heated rear seats, and heated steering wheel. It suits you best if you care more about premium amenities than sportier styling.
• A-Spec: This trim is the style-forward choice, adding blackout trim and much of the extra visual flair that gives the TLX more presence. It makes sense if you want the sportiest look without stepping all the way up to the top performance model.
• Type S: This is the performance-focused trim, with the 3.0-liter turbo V6, SH-AWD, adaptive dampers, Brembo front brakes, and the most aggressive chassis tuning. Choose it if you want the most capability and are willing to give up some convenience features that are reserved for the Advance Package.

Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are included on the Technology Package and all higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Acura TLX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 793 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,486, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $32,176 sits slightly above last year's $32,039.

That small increase suggests the TLX has held its value fairly well, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. Stable pricing also points to steady demand rather than a sharp drop in buyer interest.

Because the market has been consistent, a well-kept TLX should remain easier to price confidently than a model with more volatile used values. Strong condition and complete maintenance records should matter a lot when you go to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX safe?

The TLX, starting with the 2021 model year, is rated a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it earns five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, with four-star ratings in the frontal passenger-side test and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch comes standard and includes lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and semi-automated highway steering on marked roads. Knee airbags for driver and passenger are standard, along with a passenger airbag designed to better reduce head injuries.

Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are included on the Technology Package and all higher trims. The main caveat is that some of the most useful convenience and visibility features are not standard on every version.

Should I buy a 2022 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 TLX is unchanged and continues Acura’s design renaissance with strong road presence and genuine performance capability.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,101, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $32,176 average.
• It offers a new platform, new exterior and interior, and multiple powertrain choices.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,535, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $32,176 average.
• It emphasizes a comfortable ride and a more refined sweet spot in the segment.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want the current TLX formula with stable pricing and strong safety. If you want to spend less, the 2021 is the value play; if you want to spend more for a newer-year alternative, the 2023 is the step-up option.
