Used 2022 Acura TLX for Sale nearCharlotte, NC

How much does the 2022 Acura TLX cost?

Prices are up 1.23% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 793 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Acura TLX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The TLX stands out as one of the market’s best alternatives to a German compact luxury sedan, with strong road presence, careful attention to detail, and genuine performance capability. It also brings sharp handling, stylish design, and premium interior materials, which help it feel more distinctive than many shoppers may expect from Acura.

The trade-offs are clear: cargo space is limited, the back seat is cramped, and the touchpad interface takes some getting used to. If you want a premium-feeling sport sedan that prioritizes driving enjoyment and upscale design over maximum practicality, the TLX fits that brief well.

29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The TLX is presented as a well-built luxury sedan with strong attention to detail and a powertrain that runs smooth, pulls hard, and shifts quickly. Its performance setup is described as balanced and predictable, and Acura’s engineering focus shows up in the way the car combines comfort with capability.

The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is described as smooth and responsive, with no trouble getting out of its own way. Acura also includes a full suite of driver-assistance features as standard, which adds confidence for daily use.

Long-term ownership risk for used buyers centers more on the TLX’s packaging and interface compromises than on outright durability concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Acura TLX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering and prioritize a careful inspection of the cabin, electronics, and overall condition. The TLX’s cramped rear seat and limited cargo space are part of the package, so make sure the car’s layout works for your needs before you commit.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TLX’s lower trims already bring a premium feel, but the Advance Package adds a head-up display, 360-degree cameras, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. Base-trim shoppers should pay close attention to which convenience and visibility features are missing.
• Powertrain: The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine makes 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and Super Handling-All Wheel Drive is available for added cornering precision.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch comes standard and includes lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and semi-automated highway steering. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are included on the Technology Package and all higher trims.
• Infotainment: The TLX uses a widescreen infotainment display that is not a touchscreen. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM, and quick voice recognition are standard, and the Advance Package adds a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The regular TLX with front-wheel drive is rated at 21/31/25 mpg, while the all-wheel-drive version is rated at 21/29/24 mpg.

Which 2022 Acura TLX trim should I buy?

The 2022 Acura TLX is offered in 4 trim levels: Technology Package, Advance Package, A-Spec, Type S.

Here's the short version:

• Technology Package: This is the trim that adds meaningful everyday value, especially because it brings blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors. If you want the best balance of equipment and price, this is the one to target.
• Advance Package: This trim is the comfort-and-convenience step up, adding the head-up display, 360-degree cameras, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. It suits you best if you want a more fully loaded luxury experience.
• A-Spec: This trim leans into style, with blackout window trim and much of the extra visual flair seen on the sportier versions. It makes sense if you care most about appearance and a more aggressive look.
• Type S: This is the performance-focused choice, with the 3.0-liter turbo V6, SH-AWD, adaptive dampers, Brembo front brakes, and a more track-capable chassis setup. It’s the right pick if you want the most capability and are willing to pay for it.

Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are included on the Technology Package and all higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Acura TLX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 793 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.23% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 77.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,511, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $32,346 sits slightly above last year's $31,953.

That year-over-year increase suggests the TLX has held value reasonably well in the current market. If you’re planning to sell later, the combination of steady pricing and a premium-buyer audience can help support demand.

The TLX’s strong design, performance character, and upscale feel should continue to appeal to shoppers looking for something more distinctive than a mainstream sedan. That said, resale will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Acura TLX safe?

The TLX earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with four-star ratings in the frontal passenger-side test and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch comes standard and includes lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and standard forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. Knee airbags for the driver and passenger are standard, along with a passenger airbag designed to better reduce head injuries.

Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors are included on the Technology Package and all higher trims. The main caveat is that some of the more advanced convenience and visibility features are not standard on every trim.

Should I buy a 2022 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.23% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the TLX’s strong road presence, careful attention to detail, and genuine performance capability.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,111, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $32,346 average.
• It introduces a new platform and fresh powertrain choices.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,372, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $32,346 average.
• It emphasizes a more comfort-focused luxury sports-sedan balance.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of style, performance, and current-market availability, the 2022 is the best starting point. If price matters most, the 2021 is the value play, while the 2023 makes sense if you’re willing to pay more for a newer model-year alternative.
