Used 2021 Toyota C-HR for Sale nearTucson, AZ

How much does the 2021 Toyota C-HR cost?

Prices have softened 1.85% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 492 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 Toyota C-HR a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Toyota C-HR earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, performance, and fuel efficiency, and they also like the modern technology features and comfortable interior. The C-HR’s distinctive styling and affordable appeal help it stand out if you want something with more personality than a typical subcompact crossover.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy, noise, and poor visibility. That means it makes the most sense if you value character, standard safety tech, and everyday drivability more than maximum practicality.

With 34.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s enough market activity to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

Is the 2021 Toyota C-HR reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with owners highlighting the car’s reliability, fuel efficiency, and comfortable interior. The expert evaluation also emphasizes Toyota’s tried-and-true dependability and reliability, which supports the idea that this is a model you can count on over time.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical drama and more about whether the car’s condition and maintenance history match its reputation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Toyota C-HR?

At 74.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and any signs of prior repair. Because visibility is already a known drawback, you’ll also want to pay close attention to how the car feels in real-world driving and whether any damage or wear affects your confidence behind the wheel.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE comes with automatic LED headlamps and 17-inch alloy wheels, while higher trims add 18-inch wheels, and the Limited gets adaptive front lighting. The XLE and Nightshade also add a leather-trimmed steering wheel, auto-folding power mirrors, and sun visors with sliding extensions, while the Limited adds heated front seats, a power driver’s seat, and ambient lighting.
• Powertrain: You get a single 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT, making 144 horsepower and 139 pound-feet of torque. It is front-wheel drive only, so you cannot get AWD.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane centering, pre-collision braking with steering assist and pedestrian detection, and Road Sign Assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not on the base model and become standard starting with the XLE.
• Infotainment: Every model gets an 8-inch touchscreen with Amazon Alexa, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay, plus Bluetooth and a six-speaker audio system. Connected Services is standard, and the Audio Plus package adds HD Radio on all but the base model.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA fuel-economy ratings are 27 mpg city, 31 mpg highway, and 29 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Toyota C-HR trim should I buy?

The 2021 Toyota C-HR is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, XLE, Nightshade, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core C-HR experience with standard safety tech, the 8-inch touchscreen, and the basic equipment you need. It makes sense if you want the lowest price and can live without blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the safety gear you really want, including blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, along with useful comfort upgrades like a leather-trimmed steering wheel and auto-folding mirrors.
• Nightshade: Choose this if you want the blacked-out styling treatment and are willing to pay more for appearance-focused upgrades. It sits between the XLE and Limited and adds the darker exterior and interior touches that give it a more distinctive look.
• Limited: This is the most upscale choice, with heated front seats, a power driver’s seat, ambient lighting, and adaptive front lighting. It’s the trim to buy if you want the most comfort and convenience features in the lineup.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not available on the base LE and become standard starting with the XLE.

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 492 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.85% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 74.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,151, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Toyota C-HR's resale value?

The current average of $19,813 sits slightly below last year's $20,186.

That decline suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to move the car. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it’s time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Toyota C-HR safe?

The 2021 Toyota C-HR was named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and overall for later-release NHTSA testing, while early-release models earned five-star ratings.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane centering, pre-collision braking with steering assist and pedestrian detection, plus Road Sign Assist. The STAR Safety System, 10 airbags, hill-start assist, and a rearview camera are also standard.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not available on the base model and become standard starting with the XLE trim. The split NHTSA results are the main caveat to keep in mind when you’re comparing used examples.

Should I buy a 2021 Toyota C-HR or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 stands out for its funky styling, standard advanced safety features, and affordable appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the C-HR’s distinctive styling, standard safety tech, and a market that currently favors shoppers, the 2021 is a sensible year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, focus on the best-maintained examples near the low end of the range and prioritize the XLE for the strongest mix of value and safety equipment.
