Used 2021 Tesla Model S for Sale nearNew York, NY

How much does the 2021 Tesla Model S cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 475 listings available, which gives you a moderate amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 Tesla Model S a good car?

Yes — 5/5. Owners consistently praise the incredible acceleration, the quality of the interior, and the state-of-the-art technology. That lines up well with the 2021 Model S’s role as a luxury electric sedan for you if you want standout performance, a high-tech cabin, and a long list of standard features. The market also shows 29.3% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Tesla Model S reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with praise centered on the car’s long-term appeal, advanced technology, and strong driving experience. For used buyers, that suggests the bigger risk is less about the overall reputation and more about finding a well-kept example that has been maintained carefully over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Tesla Model S?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough inspection of the car’s condition and any signs of prior damage or poor repair work. It also makes sense to pay close attention to the cabin and controls, since the 2021 refresh introduced major interior changes that you’ll want to evaluate in person. If possible, test the features you care about most so you can confirm the car matches the condition and equipment level advertised.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Tesla Model S?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 475 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,426, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Tesla Model S's resale value?

The current average of $45,737 sits slightly below last year's $46,184.

That small decline suggests the market has softened a bit, but not dramatically, which can help you if you buy now and later decide to sell. A stable price pattern like this usually means future resale will depend more on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been cared for than on a sharp market swing. If you choose a clean, well-documented example, you’re more likely to preserve value when it’s time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Tesla Model S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2021 Model S is the primary year to target if you want the refreshed interior, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
