Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback emphasizes that the car feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on the driving experience, the upgraded hardware, and the overall quality of the cabin. That kind of long-term approval matters because it suggests many owners feel confident living with the car beyond the initial novelty.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been well cared for and remains in strong condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Tesla Model S?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report and confirm there are no accident or title issues before moving forward. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the interior, electronics, and overall condition, since this model leans heavily on advanced technology and a premium cabin experience.

It also makes sense to focus on how the car presents in person, because condition can matter as much as mileage when you are shopping for a high-end EV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Tesla Model S?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what to look for.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 426 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,421, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Tesla Model S's resale value?

The current average of $46,108 sits slightly below last year's $47,072.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you as a buyer but may temper short-term resale upside if you plan to sell soon. Even so, the current pricing still reflects strong demand for a well-regarded electric luxury sedan with a premium feature set.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Tesla Model S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the refreshed version with strong owner approval, the 2021 is the one to target. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2021 stands out as the better-balanced choice for shoppers who want the updated Model S experience.
