Why it stands out
The 2021 Subaru WRX is celebrated for its engaging driving experience and sporty performance, making it a compelling choice for enthusiasts. With its powerful turbocharged engine and standard all-wheel drive, it delivers impressive acceleration and cornering capabilities, which are essential for a performance-focused sedan. While it may prioritize driving dynamics over everyday comfort—exhibited by its stiffer ride and somewhat dated interior—the WRX compensates with a strong sense of control on winding roads and an overall sporty feel.
From an aesthetic standpoint, the WRX stands apart from typical sedans with its aggressive design, highlighted by features such as the functional hood scoop and a sporty rear wing. Inside, standard technology includes a 6.5-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, appealing to modern connectivity needs, though some may find the infotainment system lacks the cutting-edge appeal of competitors.
The vehicle's pricing strikes a balance between performance and affordability, allowing buyers to acquire a capable sports sedan without entering luxury price ranges. That said, potential buyers should weigh the WRX's inviting performance against its drawbacks, like limited cabin refinement and fuel economy.

Great car all around. Clutch is stiff and the bite point is high, so it was an adjustment coming from something that was the opposite. Very quick, very little lag in the turbo. Feels faster than it is which makes it fun. Cobb intake was already installed at purchase (low miles though) had to tune to account for it but made the car feel smoother and more responsive. Likely will be upgrading further, but not pushing too far to failure.

I have the Limited. It has most everything I needed. Would like to have had power Front passenger seat. I would have been happy with the Base model which costs a lot less - however, none were available. Compared it to Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Hyundai Veloster. This car has what I wanted most; an manual transmission.
