Used 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA for Sale nearHuntington, WV

How much does the 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA cost?

Prices have softened 11.66% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 331 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

The CLA is positioned as a compact luxury sedan that emphasizes sharp styling, a high-class interior, and an advanced user interface. It is also described as fun to drive, with multiple powertrain options that help it feel more engaging than a basic entry-level luxury car.

The trade-offs are clear: the back seat is cramped, and the car is called poor value for money. If you care most about style, driving enjoyment, and a premium presentation, those compromises may be easier to accept.

37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CLA is described as a major improvement over the original version, with the current generation carrying forward the gains made in the redesign. Its turbocharged powertrains and modern cabin presentation suggest a more mature product than the earlier car, and the expert summary frames it as a legitimate luxury contender rather than a compromised entry-level model.

The standard setup also includes a well-integrated infotainment system and a solid list of driver-assistance features, which can help the car feel easier to live with over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a premium compact car can become expensive if you need to add missing equipment or address wear on a tightly packaged interior.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a compact luxury car where options and condition can vary a lot from one listing to the next. Focus on interior wear, rear-seat condition, and whether the car has the equipment you want, since some desirable features are bundled into packages.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CLA 250, AMG CLA 35, and AMG CLA 45 each bring a different mix of equipment and performance. The CLA 250 is the most approachable choice, while the AMG models add the Premium Package equipment and suit you better if you want more power and a richer feature set.
• Powertrain: All versions use a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, with the CLA 250 making 221 horsepower, the AMG CLA 35 making 302 horsepower, and the AMG CLA 45 making 382 horsepower. The CLA 250 can be front-wheel drive or available 4Matic all-wheel drive, while the AMG models use standard AWD.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, driver attention monitoring, and crosswind assist. The Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control, rear collision braking, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert, so base-trim shoppers should check whether those features are included.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses 7-inch digital instrument and center touchscreen displays, with available 10.25-inch screens through the Premium Package. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, but wireless CarPlay and Android Auto are not available.
• Fuel efficiency: The CLA 250 returns 25 mpg city, 35 mpg highway, and 29 mpg combined in front-wheel-drive form, while the 4Matic version returns 24 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 27 mpg combined. The AMG CLA 35 returns 22 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined, and the AMG CLA 45 returns 20 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA trim should I buy?

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA is offered in 3 trim levels: CLA 250, AMG CLA 35, AMG CLA 45.

Here's the short version:

• CLA 250: This is the best-value starting point if you want the CLA’s style, modern cabin, and standard tech without paying AMG money. It already includes the core luxury features and the standard safety suite, and it makes the most sense if you want the CLA experience at the lowest entry price.
• AMG CLA 35: Choose this if you want a stronger performance edge and a more expensive-feeling setup without jumping all the way to the top model. It adds serious power and comes with the Premium Package equipment, making it the middle ground for buyers who want more excitement.
• AMG CLA 45: This is the pick if you want the most power and the quickest acceleration in the lineup. It is the most expensive choice, so it makes sense mainly if performance is your top priority.

The standard safety package is solid, but several advanced driver-assistance features still require the Driver Assistance package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing movement to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 331 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.66% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,852, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA's resale value?

The current average of $23,852 sits slightly below last year's $27,001.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to resell later, the lower entry price may reduce your depreciation exposure compared with buying when prices were higher.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA safe?

The CLA earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The CLA-Class comes with a solid list of standard driver assistance features, including automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and a driver attention monitor. It also includes crosswind assist, which can help stabilize the car in gusty highway conditions.

If you want more advanced protection, the Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control, rear collision braking, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and Mercedes Pre-Safe Sound. Some useful features, including adaptive headlights and parking assistance, also require extra packages.

Should I buy a 2021 Mercedes-Benz CLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 carries forward the redesigned CLA’s sharp styling, energetic performance, and high-class interior.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $21,159, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $23,852 average.
• It offers a redesigned, coupe-like luxury feel with strong style and comfort.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced buy, the 2021 is the stronger choice because it combines a lower market price than last year, solid inventory, and the improved CLA formula. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2020 is the better value path, especially if you find one in good condition with the equipment you want.
